I enrolled in the Forum IAS Current Affairs Course 2025 Prelims cum Mains on July 15, 2024, based on the advertisement highlighting Dipin Sir, a former faculty member at Forum IAS. The course was originally scheduled to begin in July but was postponed to the second week of September without any prior notification. Additionally, there was no official communication via email informing enrolled students that Dipin Sir was no longer associated with Forum IAS.
After attending a few classes, I realized that he was not teaching in the course as advertised. Consequently, I requested a refund of the course fees, raising the issue through email and a ticket on the Forum IAS platform. Despite repeated follow-ups, I received a response after more than 20 days stating that I was not eligible for a refund. This response is entirely unacceptable. Advertising a course based on the reputation of a particular faculty and later failing to deliver on that promise is a clear violation of consumer rights and ethical practices.
