Frankfinn Institute Of Airhostess — Non -refund of 15000 admission fees

I am filing this complaint regarding the non-refund of my ₹15, 000 admission fee paid to Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess, Shimla.

I initially visited the institute after receiving a call regarding a seminar. I was not initially interested in joining the course. During my discussion with the admission counsellor, I was informed that the course fee was approximately ₹1, 50, 000. I clearly stated that I could not afford this amount.

The admission counsellor then assured me that he would help/provide me with a part-time job, similar to other students, through which I could earn approximately ₹15, 000 per month. He explained that I could use this income to pay the monthly EMI of the Frankfinn course. Relying on this employment-related assurance, I agreed to take admission and paid ₹15, 000.

After the payment, approximately three months passed, but the promised part-time job was not provided. I was later told that the job was not available and that the batch was going to start.

I would not have paid the admission fee if the part-time employment opportunity had not been represented to me. I therefore requested a refund of my ₹15, 000.

During the refund discussion, the admission counsellor advised me to give a medical reason for requesting the refund. As I come from a middle-class family and ₹15, 000 is a significant amount for me, I followed his advice and provided a medical reason in an attempt to obtain my money back. Before doing so, I specifically asked him what medical proof would be required. At that time, he told me that no proof was required.

However, I am now being told to arrange a fake medical bill from a hospital or clinic. I want to clearly state that I will not create, purchase, submit or arrange any fake medical document or false medical bill. I only mentioned the medical reason because the counsellor instructed me to do so and because I was desperately trying to recover my ₹15, 000.

My actual grievance is not based on a fabricated medical claim. My genuine grievance is that I was induced to take admission on the basis of an employment-related assurance which was not fulfilled, and my refund is now being refused unless I provide a medical reason.
