Am a new reseller selling products in Facebook Marketplace.. I sold a fancy stone jewellery items in Facebook.. Someone contacted me in Facebook by seeing my ad and told that they r from Indian Army and told me that he wanted 10 pieces.. I charged Rs.2600 for 10 pieces and told to pay in Cash on delivery..But he insisted that he will pay on Gpay only as he is in duty.. He forwarded another number saying he is his captain and that guy will pay the money.. In Gpay, 1st he asked me to send Rs.5 for checking the transaction and said he will pay back Rs.10 immediately to my account.. So, i paid Rs.5 in Gpay amd he credited Rs.10 to me... Then he told to pay Rs.2600 and he will pay back Rs.5200 immediately and said that this is how we will pay for Indian Army... Believing that they r from Indian Army, i paid Rs.1999 first in QR CODE and then when i try to pay remaining Rs.600 in QR CODE, the transaction failed.. They sent another QR Code and that too had failed... Then they asked me to give Debit card details as they said that its Card to Card payment... At first, i hesitated to give my Debit card details but they said, "Mam u r dealing with Indian Army.. Ur transactions r very secured and safe.. No need to worry about the money"... Believing that they r really from Indian Army, i gave my debit card details.. But they debited full amount from my account which is about Rs.30k.. When i asked them they r checking the transaction and no need to worry about my money as i am dealing with Indian Army... When i ask for refund, they said to maintain Rs.13000 in my account balance and they will refund Rs.30k.. Really i thought why should i maintain Rs.13k in my account.. I got many OTP from my netbanking for the activity Then when i open my netbanking account, this guy added so many payee in my account.. I understood why they asked me to maintain Rs.13k and found that they r fraud ppl and i went to the bank and gave the complaint immediately and they blocked my account.. I really dont know how they got my netbanking account id and password... I think from the QR code, they hacked my details...The next day, the guy called me and i asked for refund... This fraud guy told that he will send the refund application to Indian guy and asked me to send Aadhar card, pan card, passport size photo, Aadhar card front and back side photo everything... I told i wont send these details and told "u ppl r fraud and not at all from Indian Army. Using Indian Army name, u r doing Fraud.. Refund my money back".. Immediately he said he is not fraud and he totally blocked me.. My money totally Rs.30875 is lost... They didnt even purchase the jewellery from me also but i got cheated...
