On 16 February 2026 (~4 PM), I hired rental bike RJ14 XX 1753 from Freedo Rentals, Raja Park Jaipur due to an urgent requirement.
Within 2–3 km after refueling ₹200 (receipt available), the vehicle stopped starting at petrol pump. Immediate roadside assistance was not provided. Customer support engaged in repeated calls focusing on responsibility rather than resolution, and one escalation call was disconnected.
The following day, further mechanical defects became evident: complete self-start failure, difficulty engaging neutral gear, and malfunctioning fuel indicator.
Although booked for two days, the vehicle had to be returned early due to repeated failures and safety concerns.
The bike appeared functional at pickup; defects surfaced during actual usage. Consumers cannot reasonably detect hidden mechanical faults at handover. Ensuring proper inspection, maintenance, and roadworthiness before delivery is the responsibility of the rental provider.
Supporting photos and fuel receipt available.
I request a thorough review of vehicle inspection standards, maintenance compliance, and grievance handling procedures to ensure improved safety, accountability, and better support for future consumers. Was this information helpful? |
