Freelancer — Did not pay me for my work submitted | |||
The employer Nidhi G. @preetisharma8745 assigned me a project about a university report to be submitted. I completed the project and gave it to her. The employer did not pay me for 10 days after that and had stopped responding so I raised a dispute. The employer suddenly started responding proactively with abuses and started blackmailing me to close the dispute and only then she will pay me my money. I still went on with the dispute as I was hoping for a fair judgement from Freelancer.com. But after paying for arbitration the Freelancer rep just came in and cancelled the dispute upfront, saying that this project violates the site's Terms and Conditions since it is an academic task. I did not get paid for my work submitted and the employer who was the one who posted this project did not face any sort of problem. Nidhi was so shameless that she even left me a negative review saying that I should start trusting my employers. Whereas I did not even get an option to review her or not accept her review. She got her work done for free, earned out of it and made me pay for it. In this manner, this employer will start taking up more academic work tasks and won’t pay the freelancers. When the freelancers will dispute, the employers are the ones who will win each time. This employer Nidhi G. has completed 626 projects with only 66 reviews, how’s that possible? Where are the 560 people who could not review her like me? This seems to be a regular practice of this employer. I bet this is the case, as the reviews for Freelancer.com on the net are pretty ugly, with numerous people bring up this issue time and again. Something needs to be done here. Why did I have to bear the brunt of completing and submitting the work to the employer? There was no fault of mine in this and because of Freelancers oversight, I am facing defamation on my review page. If the rep who cancelled this case upfront, would have at least paid the freelancer for the work submitted, then this practice of the employer assigning academic tasks would have stopped. But I feel it’s just an escape route for Freelancer.com to favor the employer going by the numerous reviews online. I want my money for the work that I submitted to Nidhi G. When she is at fault of assigning such projects, that are against Freelancer’s policies, then why should I bear the brunt? Was this information helpful? | |||

Apr 04, 2021 Updated by Janet Jewel [protected][protected][protected][protected][protected][protected]I received a reply from Freelancer.com stating that they can't get the client to pay me and that their dedicated team is looking into employers who post such projects. Here is my reply to them. Well, it seems like “your dedicated team” is not doing their job well and sincere people like me have to suffer due to some cheat who posted a project that violates your User Agreement. She got her work done and then Freelancer.com who is also supporting such activities from within allowed her to post false negative comments about me to defame me. What a shameless person could she be to earn out of me and then defame me as well publicly with your support. If you are not supporting this cheat employer Nidhi G. @preetisharma8745 https://www.freelancer.com/u/preetisharma8745, then why did you allow her to leave a false negative review on my page? In a way, she won the dispute as neither did she have to pay for the work done and she even got the upper hand to leave a false comment, why? Is this not proof enough that freelancer.com is supporting the employer and not the writer? Where are your policies regarding ABUSE? You didn’t even reprimand the employer for abusing me continuously on chat. Where were your policies when the employer was BLACKMAILING me into closing the dispute saying that she would pay me only after that? Where were your policies when she was MANIPULATING and HARASSING me with these continuous demands? I have faced a lot because of your so-called policies during these past few days. I have been reading numerous reviews regarding this employer online and it is high time that freelancer.com does something for the 560 people that she has cheated through your site. Your support of shielding such activities is making this filth grow in number on your site which is, in turn, making people like us go to sites like Upwork, Fiver and the like where they have stricter norms. She didn’t have to pay a penny for posting a project that was non-compliant with your policies and she successfully got her work done, earned out of it, defamed me and even got a pat on the back from your side for doing that. Well, is this justice? I request you to get that review moved from my page because it is false in every way. Also, how could you allow her to leave a review from a project that was already deleted by a Freelancer rep for being against your policies???     | |||
