To the Honorable Consumer Court,
My name is Sneha Pedapati, and I wish to formally file a complaint against Sakshi Ladha, the owner of the online business "Kundan Manufacturer Ganesh" operating on Instagram under the username kundan_manufacturer_ganesh, and through their website www.ganeshjewellery.in.
Details of the Incident:
On October 1st, 2024, I contacted Sakshi Ladha regarding a jewelry set (a short necklace, earrings, and mangtikka) listed on her Instagram page. She claimed that the design was her original creation and promised that I would receive the exact same piece as displayed. She informed me that the set would cost ₹6, 300, and she requested an advance payment of ₹2, 000 since the pieces are custom-made. I made the advance payment via UPI to Surekha Amit Ladha [UPI transaction ID:[protected], Payment made to: ladha.[protected]@okaxis].
At no point during our conversation did she mention any potential changes in the design or the color of the beads on the necklace. The order was supposed to take 10 to 12 days to complete. However, on October 14th, after following up on the status of my order, she sent me a photo of the necklace, but the color of the beads was different from what was originally promised.
Upon pointing this out, she assured me that the mistake would be corrected. However, on October 17th, when I followed up again, she once more sent a photo of the product with the wrong bead color. When I raised this issue, she began arguing, claiming that "bead colors may vary, " which had not been communicated earlier. When I asked for a refund due to the misrepresentation, she cut off all communication, blocked my number on calls, read my WhatsApp messages without responding, and eventually blocked me on WhatsApp and Instagram.
When I tried contacting her through a different phone number, she continued with the same deceptive practice of demanding an advance payment before taking orders. Upon realizing it was me and being informed of my intention to file a complaint with consumer court and the police, she rudely dismissed my concerns, saying that no one could take action against her and proceeded to block the number.
Request for Action:
I request the consumer court to take strict action against Sakshi Ladha for this fraudulent behavior. Not only have I suffered financially, but this has also caused me significant mental distress. I sincerely ask for your help in recovering my money and preventing this individual from cheating other consumers in a similar manner.
