Last week i have booked manali trip via traveltriangle and travel agency is gold travel domestic. They arranged transport from delhi to manali and manali to delhi. While enquiringly they told it is volvo bus semi sleeper ac bus. June 2nd i have started journey from delhi to manali, but bus condition is not good, seats are not comfortable for 13 hours journey, ac not working properly and it is not standard volvo bus [no transport information]. I have called up gold travel agency and told about bus condition and i have requested to changed the same while returning from manali. He told will change the same and make a comfortable on return. June 6th evening 5.30 pm bus started from manali and it should reach the delhi by 7 or 8 am maximum. So, i have booked flight from delhi to chennai at 2 pm as confirmed by travel agency agent. But as i told this time also they given poor bus, it not in good condition. Seats and ac not working and bus stopped at 7 pm near kullu and driver doing something on bus engine, filling waters and repairing. We asked about the same, but driver told it ac settings like that and started the bus. Again bus stopped after 1 hour and refilling water in engine and driving. Mid night most of passengers are went sleep and bus stopped at 5 am in mandi and driver told bus will not move now onwards.
All the passengers are shock and bus crossed only 123 km for the past 12 hours. Driver doesnt know english and he cant give any proper reply to us. I told i have flight at delhi 2 pm. But he doesnt give any proper answer. I have tried to reach gold travel domestic agency who booked this volvo bus, but they also we will check and update for the next 2 hours. Finally most of passengers taken luggage and travel by own to delhi. But we came from south india, dont have proper bus details how to reach delhi. There is no alternate arrangement from gold travel domestic agency as well, they simply told come by yourself to delhi and catch the flight. I told how is possible to reach delhi by 4 hours to cross around 450 km. Agency told it not our mistake, i asked who booked this volvo bus, they should take the full responsibility. But there is no proper reply from.
Running out of time. So, myself went chandigarh by local bus [6 hours] and booked bus to delhi on same day evening and booked next day flight from delhi to chennai. Early booked flight ticket is cancelled, around 10k lost from my packet and booked onboard flight for 2 person and it takes 20k. Travels by bus from mandi to delhi and charge around 2.5k for 2 person. Apart from my trip plan, i have spent 22500 rupees additional without any kind of mistakes from my sides. Twenty two thousand is not a small amount. This is not good for travel agency ethics.
As a professional you should get proper work ethics what business you are doing. What gold travel domestic agency did is irresponsible and totally bad experience i have faced on my lifetime. This is worst travel agency ever i seen. Earlier i went mumbai, shridi, goa all the agency work smart and did good for his business. Hotels are very normal, some basic things also missing in hotel rooms.
