In July 2019, I booked a plot of land at Done Gaon (ahead of Kasarsai, Pawna river view) from Goodwin City Landmark Developer. I met Mr. Purnachandra Swain, the owner, when their office was located at Hinjewadi Marungi Gaon. Trusting his words and the so-called “brand name, ” I paid 25% of the amount upfront. An agreement was prepared, and I was asked to pay ₹10, 000 monthly, which I honestly did, exactly as per the agreement.
However, within just 4 months, the real nightmare began.
I later discovered that his bank account was blocked, and He deposited 6 months cheques and rest never deposited. After two months, his executive contacted me and asked for new cheques from another bank. At that time, I was completely unaware of the actual situation. Mr. Purnachandra personally told me that the account was temporarily blocked due to “huge transactions.” I trusted him blindly—and that was my biggest mistake.
Even after paying more than 50% of the land value, no stamp duty registration was done, despite it being clearly mentioned in the agreement. From then on, all I received were fake promises, excuses, and continuous delays—and this continues even today.
To make matters worse, in February 2024, he issued me two post-dated cheques of May, which were dishonored and bounced. On checking with the bank, I found out that his bank account had been blocked for the last two years. This clearly shows that he knowingly gave cheques that had no possibility of being cheque processed by bank.
Now it is December 2025.
For six long years, I have been mentally exhausted, financially trapped, and continuously chasing my own hard-earned money.
Whenever I try to meet Mr. Purnachandra, I am stopped by arrogant local women hired at his office, who repeatedly lie and deny access to him. He is never available, never gives clear answers, and never takes responsibility.
Later, I discovered at Pimpri Police Station that multiple fraud cases are already registered against him, and he has even been taken into police custody in the past. This is not an isolated incident—I am just one of many victims.
I will find a way to recover my money, no matter how long it takes.
But I am writing this review to warn others.
❌ Do not trust Goodwin City Landmark Developer
❌ Do not believe big brand names or sweet promises
❌ Do not invest your hard-earned money without proper verification
📌 Always check the developer’s background at the local police station
📌 Verify legal records before paying even ₹1
📌 Never rely on verbal assurances
This experience has taught me a very hard and painful lesson.
