In October 2026 I contacted Great Future Overseas (SCO 3, 2nd Floor, Sector 41-D, Chandigarh; +[protected]; greatfutureoverseas.in) about a New Zealand work visa. They gave me a handwritten quote on their letterhead: ₹7 lakh total for a food packer job. I sent them my passport, Aadhaar and certificates, and on 24 Oct 2026 paid ₹5, 000 by UPI to "GREAT FUTURE OVERSEAS" (their receipt no. 1126, "file login").
On 28 Oct 2026 I received a "Shift Manager – Allied Faxi New Zealand" offer from [protected]@gmail.com signed "Karan Bhardwaj, Immigration Lawyer". The offer used my passport number, which I had given only to the agency. I contacted Allied Faxi directly; on 29 Oct 2026 they replied in writing: "We have not engaged International Placement Company or Karan Bhardwaj... The job offer you described is not authorised by our company. Please be alert to potential fraud and do not make any payments or provide personal documents to them."
I was promised a refund of my ₹5, 000; it has been refused. I have reported this to the Chandigarh Police cyber cell and the Ministry of External Affairs. Before paying any overseas job agent, check their licence on emigrate.gov.in ("List of active RA") and contact the employer yourself. Was this information helpful? |
