There are certain points below which explain the lacunae in honda car service station policies

1. They do not allow car owners to have a close look at their cars being serviced. Many times the workmen spill mobil oil as they do not even have proper shop floor funnel. The workmen also do not follow car owner's instructions pertaining to rotation of tyres as per their liking. If they cant allow car owners /customers inside service station then at the least customers must be provided with a video recording of their cars being serviced.

2. Honda car service stations plainly refuse minor repair works like removing dust / dirt from door locks in case of jammed door locks and instead lobby hard to sell new car lock system. Why should a customer be pressed to shell out 11000 rupees instead of 250 only??

3. Honda car service stations does not provide simple items like oil filter on demand. Even indian courts have ordered oe makers to provide retail services but honda service stations defy court orders to fleece their customers.

Harmony honda service station is very very poor in customer dealing. They do not allow customers inside service stations even for ten minutes and give their workmen free hand to play with the lives of car owners. Workmen work carelessly, spill oil, do not tighten nuts and bolts, do not act on customer requests. Upon being questioned car owners are simply quoted that their policy does not allow so. Does their policy allow their customers to get looted / fleeced or killed??

Car companies restricting spares sales’

A section of car makers has allegedly been found engaging in anti-competitive practices by withholding sales of spare parts in the free market, resulting in controlled and hefty prices at dealerships and service centres authorized by them.

The findings are based on a probe by the investigative arm of fair-play watchdog Competition Commission of India (CCI).

In its report to the regulatory agency, the director general (investigation) has accused the auto players of controlling and restricting supplies only to their network, sources told TOI. The probe, spread over a year, studied the after-market supply chain and spoke to various players, including car companies, component manufacturers and open market players.
