This is another complaint about a Hospital in Bangalore - TAMARA Hospital in Rajajinagar (opposite to Vidyavardaka School).
My mom has been going to the senior Dr.Gayathri Devi for past 20yrs and similarly she did a trip for a general check up last week. She then found out that Dr.Gayathri Devi passed away in Dec 2012 due to Cancer and in her place there is another Doc - Dr Swetha.
My mom was hale and heathy - she is one of most discipline person with her diet and daily excercise. The Doc suggested her to get DnC done (my mom is 58) and she did not give proper justification for this procedure. They asked my mom to come at 7am on a Monday morning for this DnC procedure and Dr.Swetha walks in at 11:30am saying she was held up in traffic. The Anestisia guy alos shows some irritation and impaitent waiting for Dr.Swetha. Finally, after local anestisia, they start the procedure and for what ever reasons... there is lot of drama in the hospital saying my mom's pulse rate dropped. My mom had a cardiac arrest ..and the Doc (Dr.Nagesh - Cardiologist) was doing initial diagonise and says that my mom has multiple blocks in her heart. They were insisting us to shift to her immidiately to Fortis Chunningham road and they had already called the ambulance.
My brother and I tried to raise our voices, but it wasn't the time to fight...and it was the time to attend to my mom. So we took her to Fortis, Dr.Gopi attends to my mom and does angogram to confirm there were no Blocks but it was a stress induced heart attack. Now, My mom did not have any stress... Dr.Gopi fails to explain this and I consultant another Cardiac Surgeon - he confirms that this is some stressful situation that my mom had a heart attack.
She was in ICU for 2 days + 1day ward and we got her home. She is doing fine and smiling.
But this whole situation leaves me very surprised how these doctors in india are so irresponsible..and not take any responsibility of a situation nor accountable.
They just want to get ride of the situation some how if there was a complication. The entire industry is focused on money making. Dont know whom to trust and whom not to. Was this information helpful? |
