Dear Sir / Ma'am,
It is with immense displeasure that I'm writing to you about a Co-living provider "Hello World Technologies", which is situated in Bangalore. I shifted in this accommodation on 7th June 2024, which is situated in HRBR Layout, Bangalore. In the beginning, they had mentioned that they will charge a security deposit of 19000 during shifting, which they will refund back to me by deducting Rs. 3000(as move-out charges) from it. I was told that I will be refunded the amount after one month of vacating the room. The property manager is Rakesh, and his contact is '[protected]'. I vacated the premise on 3rd of August. However, even after a month, when they didn't refund, I wrote a mail to them regarding the same, as they had stopped picking up my calls ever since I vacated the room. After 3 days, they replied by saying that it will take an extra week for them to refund my amount. Now they have refunded me only partial amt yesterday evening. I expected that apart from deducting 3000 from the deposit, they will deduct only the 3 days' rent for August. Since my monthly rent was Rs. 19000 (inc. GST), per day rent comes to Rs. 633.33 approx. So according to this calculation, my 3 day rent of Aug should have been around Rs. 1900. So in total they should have refunded me[protected]+1900)), i.e. Rs. 14100. But they have refunded me only Rs. 12907. On checking their app, I found that they have deducted 1200 extra by showing water tank charges for the month of June!. I have emailed them multiple times regarding the same but they have stopped responding to my emails. I know that Rs. 1200 might be a small amount, but this is how companies like these loot small amounts from every customer. Since I have no job as of now, this 1200 is also a big amt for me. Please find attached pics for your reference.
