Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding harassment, abusive behaviour, and fraudulent activity by an individual claiming to represent Hero FinCorp Ltd. The details of the incident are as follows:
Phone number used by the caller: +[protected], [protected]
Date of incident: 25th November
Caller’s claimed identity: “Rahul” (claimed to be an advocate)
Purpose of call: Loan recovery on behalf of Hero FinCorp Ltd.
During the conversation, despite my request for a few days’ time to make the payment (and having already cleared all my previous dues), the caller used abusive, threatening, and insulting language towards me and my family.
Subsequently, the same individual made multiple repeated calls to me and my relatives, including my cousin Mr. Manish Chauhan, harassing and intimidating them as well.
Following these threats, I began receiving multiple unsolicited OTP messages on my phone, apparently as an attempt to gain unauthorized access to my online accounts. This raises serious concerns of cyber fraud and misuse of personal data.
I have preserved the following as evidence:
Screenshots of OTP messages received during and after the calls
Call records and call logs showing repeated harassment
Audio recordings of the abusive and threatening conversations
I request you to:
Immediately investigate this matter and confirm whether the above-mentioned phone number belongs to an authorized recovery agent of Hero FinCorp Ltd.
Take strict disciplinary and legal action against the individual and agency involved for harassment, data misuse, and violation of RBI’s Fair Practices Code.
Provide a written confirmation of the actions taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
Please note that if no action is taken within the prescribed 30 days, I will escalate this complaint to the RBI Integrated Ombudsman and Cyber Crime Cell for further investigation under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and RBI guidelines on recovery practices.
