Hosur Municipality — Drainage Issue

Respected Sir,

I am representing 20 families with close to 80 residents from Rajiv Gandhi layout extension, Navadhi Village, Onnalvadi Panchayat, Hosur 635110

We are residing in this locality for about 5 years and till now we do not have drainage facility. Each o[censored]s have placed a drainage pit with 2 to 3 rings under the ground as temporary solution. However that gets filled and overflowing within a month and gets flowing in front of our houses and gets stagnated.

Every month each family is spending Rs.3000 to 4000 to evacuate the sewage water using Sewage collecting truck and this is not affordable for us for a long run.

Apart from spending money, we are concerned on our health issues due to stagnant drainage water in and around our locality which could cause Dengue, Cholera etc., deadly diseases and there are 10-15 kids ranging from 1-8 years of age.

Interestingly just 200 metres from our locality there is a tunnel drainage facility laid by Government couple of years ago, but they have not extended the connection to our locality. When we questioned they said approval is not given to your locality.

We have escalated this issue to concerned Govt. officials many times but no response and solution yet. So please take this into consideration and help us to get rid of this problem at the earliest.

We all are paying our property tax and got the HNTDA approval for our land & constructed house, so need you take this request of high priority.
