Complaint about school fees refund. Dear Sir or Madam - we send our kid to a playschool in Thoraipakkam named i2Global school. Owing to Covid situation, they started conducting online classes for a nursery curriculum which wasnt beneficial. Still we had to pay an online app fee for that and additionally they pressurized us to pay the term fees as well though the school hasnt even started functioning. Keeping the well-being of our child in mind, we paid the app fees - Rs.5000, stationary fees - Rs.12000 and term fees - Rs.30000 after a number of calls and Whatsapp messages pressurizing us to pay the fees and we werent given any receipts for the same. Now that the Covid situation has become severe and since the school is not going to open anytime soon - we requested to cancel admussion and sought for a refund of the fees paid. However, the school director and center head were not even responding to our emails - finally yesterday they have confirmed that they wont refund the charges which is not fair and legal. And we have paid Term fees - Rs.30000, Online app fees - Rs.5000, Stationary fees - Rs.12000 and Caution deposit - Rs.5000, totalling to Rs.52000 without the school not functioning for nursery curriculum. And when we ask for a refund, they hardly care to respond and have informed that we can escalate to you or any authorities. This is disappointing and very tough to digest, especially during these critical times. We request you to take action so that the school authorities are aware of parents situation. Request you to help us get this refund. Please let us know if we are not doing the right thing or our expectation in this regard is not correct. Kindly respond and let us know how to proceed.
