Yes ICFAI is complete fraud univ, and this was truly my foolish step to enroll for BCA course. I am able to complete only one grp I enrolled in year 2008 and after numerous attemps I am not able to pass to grps. I shot a letter to students service and not to any surprise I got a reply that I should study hard and just keep on paying my exam fees which I have stoped now. I think I have been cheated by ICFAI. I dont know whether Govt of India will do some thing or not.

ICFAI University — regarding classes

dear sir/madam
i am student of ICFAI, Jodhpur and we have our head office at hyderabad .my complaint is concerned with my regular classes which are not going properly and they after taking a huge amount of money are not providing us any kind of facilities.
please help us out

I would also advise to all these complainers to enroll in Symbosis or EMU that is the good institute to finish the MBA without any hardship.

The main objective of any educational institute is to maintain the highest academic standards and students are empowered to achieve good placements. We at INC are mentoring the students for their overall development.
As far as placement is concerned INC Jaipur has maintained an excellent placement record over the years. Last year 68 students have been placed in 21 companies.
We have initiated the process for 2009 batch and already placed nine students in SPA Capital. We have generated 18 companies for the placement and out of which process for 12 companies will be finished by the end of November. We will be able to place this entire batch by the end of this academic session.

I am Deependra Sharma from INC Kota and passed out from 2005-07 batch recently working in “Amara Raja Batteries Ltd” as ASE in Jaipur.
In part of learning in INC I have learnt lot of things like case study live projects, seminar etc. The all things used by me in that time.
As per concern summer training I have learn lots of practical knowledge in that time. It was real practical knowledge and also first interaction in corporate market.
Placement efforts was very good provided me I have places in Indus Land Bank which is very good placement by INC. Placement activities was totally different from other college. Because our faculty provided us to placement classes day to day. So that we have learnt lot of things in that classes.
As per the INCAS matter this one is totally different activity provided by them. This step is helpful for all the passed out student. Because they have provide replacement activity and also way of meet our friends.
Message to juniors: “Please attend all the activities provide by INC because it is helpful for your future job.”

This is Inderpal Singh from 2006-08 Batch of Jaipur INC. Currently I am working in Anagram Stockbroking Limited as an Operations Coordinator. INC is the place where I learnt Management. I was nothing before joining INC. Even I was unable to manage myself. But after joining INC I learnt how to manage yourself and others also. The Faculty of INC taught me how to present yourself and your contents in attractive way in presentations and in interviews. I was the Placement Coordinator in INC. I am a Project Manager in Google, Hyderabad.
No doubt the campuses in Bangalore, Hyderabad Jaipur, Bhubneshwar were fake, but the campus which already had the best fame and value was Dehradun, which is safe.
So no probs, IcfaiTech Dehradun has always been a brand name.
So if any of the campuses have got shifted there, its there good luck and now they should accept the fact that Dehradun is now their campus and they should no more waste time in getting out of there past experiences.
I mst tell u, being in Hyderabad, I have never heard about Hyderabad campus and also no one in Hyderabad does know this(IcfaiTech) . All I know is about the famous IcfaiTech, Dehradun.
I must also tel u dat the campus (Dehradun)which now everybdy has got has best market value amongst all IcfaiTech campuses and now everybody should be unite while remembering they r now from same campus and shud think of increasing dehradun's brand value to the world level.
Also now ICFAI should rank its Dehradun campus and no more its worst one i.e Hyderabad, the one with 3rd grade building.
One more thing, dont ever think that u will ever be sent back to your campuses back. Bcause no more affiliations are being done d govt. and ur management may b faking u at this by calling it "Advanced Standing admissions" as is done by most of d colleges. Even i[censored] will go back u will still be alleagal and u wil be leaving d best campus of IcfaiTech i.e Dehradun

I have seen so many systematic things at the time of Registration. pro n cones r attached with every things. b cos its perception. legal bodies like AICTE n MEDICAL council r not working fairly. that is y they r on the vers of abolition. how n why r many more quistions. forgetting all these its STUDENTs who will uplift d DIGNITY, DECORUM, VALUES n STANDARD of the INSTITUTION. B cos MARKET need QUALITY at any cost. It is a proven fact in recent past.

myself kuldeep singh negi i am studying at icfaitech dehradun and have seen a lot of change here right from the starting of our batch in 2008.Earlier at the time of the strike it seemed that we were kept in the dark by the institution. But now as the time is passing by we are getting through the new developments being done by the institution.The no. of faculties has been increased a lot and all of them are from IIT's.Besides the institute is focussing more and more on its infrastructure development. Thus i can say that there is no point in making and spreading such a rumour about the institution.

ICFAI are in real problem this time.They have faced problem for UGC so they have stopped admission throughout india.First they said their univ is in uttarakhand, then they shifted tripura and next what? Do you know that a university can open collges and monitor action in its state of establisment.It can run study centres in other centres.They are doing these things since last so many years.Next who knows they will tell student either to go and study in these uttarakhand/tripura or they will change ICFAI to IAFCI (who knows!!!) Dont vist them, they will fool with their gol gol talk and confuse you.Tell others too.

The University at Uttarakhand is different from that of Tripura and both are independent entities. Your mixed reference to both shows how ignorant you are as to status of the University you are enrolled into. Stop musing about all these and concentrate on studies.

Icfai has initiated action for establishing universities in different states. As of now the universities are established in and around 6 states and some more are expected. So please do not confuse the different universities and you are advice to focus on education and progress to the program. You will be enrolled into only one university and the university will not be changed.

What is your problem? Why are you leveling accusations without any evidence? This is not a good practice. Please give your enrollment no, program and year of enrollment addressed to [protected]@icfaiuniversity.in and state your specific problem. We shall attend to it.

It is your failure that is speaking and is not the real effort. Instead you must assess your performance with guideline answers and identify areas that require improvement. The courses from Icfai are definitely tough and more on quality content. They need rigorous practice of concepts and taking light view of any of the chapters would prove suicidal in path to success. Do not think of having luxury of cherry picking the chapters, read all subjects/chapters well and appear for exams. What more to say.. be open to truth and read well.

i am doing mba from icfai universityi, i have completed group A B C D &E in seven attempt.in seven attempt i have not prepared in one attempt so finally i have cleared five group in six attempt.i am agry it is not so easy to complete mba degree from icfai university.but it is not impossible and i am avreage student. so nothing impossible in world.

i enrolled for ms (finance) in icfai
i am asking icfai to give me bills for my exam fees and annual fees . they state that they do not give bills. on my completion i need it for getting reimbursement from my employer. my employer does not accept credit card bills. inspite of writing to icfai, they are not accepting. is it not a fraud practice to refuse bills.
the material of icfai is also having lot of mistakes, basically editing mistakes. but that misguides us. for us to understand that they are editing mistake, it takes lot of time. they ask us to inform the mistake so that they can rectify. if we have so much time, we can as weel master the subject and the errors. taking such hefty fees, they must see that the study materials are error free.

I definitely agree with you, I am enrolled in to MCA program for about 3 years now & unable to complete a single group as they haven't provided me with the simple foundation classes for some subjects that they had promised at the time of admission. I have completely paid all my EMI's in single year. They also have falsely promised me that there will be waivers for some subjects as I had done certification in some subjects already & now whenever I ask with the ICFAI, they just tell that there are no waivers at all. I just want to that those of you aware from this flexible learning program & don't get cheated as we already got cheated.

Ananda! You seem to be quite upset over receipt but aims toe spit at study material. Choose what you want to highlight. If it is material, write to Institute giving book reference and the page number for clarification.

Hi I am Ditsu from West Bengal. I am enrolled in BCA program. I have completely paid all my EMI's in single year. Fraud College of Flexible Learning!!! I like that caption..But I would say their course ans materials are good...Pathetic part is the money making technique...Even in the form of exam fees...

As I know, the program prospectus must be indicating outline details concerning the program.
You are right that individual should read the prospectus to weed out ambiguity before enrollment.

Hardly 5% student get pass from ICFAI. Their passing ratio is very bad. They only know how to make money. They charge extra money for placement assistant. That is the only reason they intentionally made student to fail. We 11 friends took admission in Icfai in 2009 and paid about 95000rs each in advance. None o[censored]s could able to clear MBA yet. Finally I have done my mba from ECU Australia which is ranking top 50 university in the world. But I could not able to clear my 2 sem also from Icfai. Please pass this information to all. Help student to make their career.

It is now prooved that ICFAI university is only money maker. The university does not want to pass out the students by providing very difficult question papers with non-availability of previous question papers.
Students are hanging among these ten groups. Because in boom phase, the university had promised easily to candidates for placements 21, 000/- per month. And now in deep dipression, it becomes very difficult to provide promised jobs.

Earlier, seperate drinking mineral water bottles were distributed in examination hall. But today ordinary water is circulated in exam hall by peon with single jug.

I don't understand that what type of policy the ICFAI is adopting. What the ICFAI want to do. What the ICFAI want to show.

As the MBA programme is distance learning programme and also a flexible learning programme. It is specially designed for people who are already in jobs. Where the flexibility is. To qualify the exam, they will have to leave their jobs and will have to study as regular 8 hours per day.So it would be better to do MBA from regular stream.

So mainy complaints are presented online and are absolutely true. It is not good for ICFAI's future, status and prestige.

The univrsity should analysed itself and resolve the all matters honestly. It would be easy for the ICFAI not to provide placements but it is very dangerous for university's health not to pass out the students.

I was cheated by Mr. Yuvraj (Admission Officer, Rajajinagar, Bangalore). He has given all the wrong commitments to me. He is a big lier. To make some incentives he is cheating student. University is not taking any action against him Atlast student suffers.

ICFAI National College, Agra ,ICFAI Banjara Hills,HYderabad — Impartiality in giving scholarship and not refund of caution Money and not providin placement

I am student of Icfai National college, Agra of Batch[protected]. This college is run by ICFAI university Dehradun and ICFAI (HQ) hyderabad. When I have taken the addmission, college has made false promises and told me many benifites. There is the rule of provding scholarship to those students who perform well in semesters. They have the CGPA system of evaluation . There is criteria to givingthe scholarship those students who score CGPA 7.0 and above out of 10 in perticular semester.
I have scored CGPA 7.52 in Sem III and 7.73 In Sem IV. So I am elegible for scholarship, but college has not given any scholarship to me and inspite of it given the scholarship to to non-elegible candidates who never had the CGPA 7.0 in any semester. So this is clear favorism and unjustice with me.

This is not enough o[censored]njustice wih me . College has taken an amount of 15000 as placement fee and not provided any placement to me. they have also taken Rs. 5000 as caution money at the time of admission which has to be refund after our course and college is now denying to refund it while our course has completed.

So I request you to kindly look into my matter and please try to provide my scholarship and to make justice with me.

INC had very clearly mentioned in its prospectus[protected] batch that it provides Academic support and Placement Assistance. Mr. Shailendra Vashist of INC-Agra (2007-09 batch) has been provided with adequate number of interviews as listed below :

4. GEOJIT
5. K & A SECURITIES
6. INDIA BULLS
His selection was confirmed by GEOJIT and K&A SECURITIES but Mr. Shailendra joined RAGHUNANDAN MONEY on his own. Coming to know of this the company did not issue the offer letter.

Mr. Shailendra has got ample opportunities and did not take up the offers given to him as he had joined some other company.

In case the number of these students becoming eligible for scholarship also in subsequent semesters, comes below 10% of the total class strength, only then the other students (who could not get scholarship in the first semester) will be considered for scholarship to a maximum of 10% of the total strength of their class. In the instant case of Mr.Shailendra Kumar Vashishth, he was not eligible for first semester scholarship based on his UG marks. Though the student got more than 7.0 CGPA in 3rd and 4th semesters, since the number of graduation scholarship students (7) was more than 10% of total strength of the class (55), this student could not be considered for scholarship.
2. Please refer to the prospectus[protected] batch. There is no separate fee of Rs.15000 called Placement Fee and the student has not paid any such fee. Student is advised to produce the receipt for Rs.15000 placement fee, in case he has any documentary proof, to substantiate his claim, failing which suitable legal action will be initiated.
3. Regarding the complaint on caution deposit not being refunded: Please refer to the prospectus[protected] and there was no mention of caution deposit and no such caution deposit was collected from any student of[protected] batch. Once again, student is advised to produce the receipt for Rs.5000 caution deposit, in case he has any documentary proof, to substantiate his claim, failing which suitable legal action will be initiated.

What are we for you, why are you playing with our career. After paying huge amount of fees also if we dont get a valuable degree wat's the use of doing such course.

However the facts are as under :

Even i am not able to access ICFAI.org. I tried to visit their office today in Bangalore and found the building is taken over by Magnus.

i too enrolled in 2007 and had started giving exams in Oct 2007. By Jan 2009 i had cleared 9 groups, that too in consecutive attempts without failing even once. Now am struggling with the last two groups (descriptive papers) as I dont get time to study. So its not b'coz the exams are not fair, may be you have not put in your best efforts. I enrolled in Jul 2006.I am about to complete my MBA. I have appeared for Group I and J in Jul 09. Please don't say that exams are not fair. It is our inability that we don't pass. The papers are checked by computers. You commented that they erase the answers, this is ridiculous. I think for the course materials are of very high standard and many o[censored]s don't understand much when we read them. You should be very very good in your English if you wish to get through. I am married and doing a job, for the last three years I have not slept properly. I have put up enormous amount of hard work to reach group J. So please don't say that are not fair. I am a student myself and is able to access them at www.icfaiuniversity.in now. Pls try.

I enrolled in 2007 and could complete 3 groups. But I do not blame the university for this since I am working and travelling I could not do justice to it.

The exams are conducted in very fairly manner. I have never found any misbehaviour by any student in the exams. So please do not blindly comment that the University is bad because you could not pass.

I have done with any tution assistance.
All the questions are concept based and you really need to put your grey cells to work to answer them properly.

If you remember the answers marked by you and check with the answer which are available after each examination for a short time you can estimate your marks even before the results are out.

I do it every time. There is absolutely no manipulation at all.

well i enrolled ICFAI in April 2007 and started appearing in exams from Oct 2007. I have cleared all the papers in General Management Field till july 2009 and completed my MBA. So it is not possible but not easy also. i had worked hard for this when and where i needed. I think one needs to study to pass in Icfai Exams.
However, i disagree with the structure of exam papers from group G which contains objective type (30), Case Studies (3) marks 50 and Theory Questions (20) 10 marks each. I think it is really hard for any person who has 400 - 500 page book and get only two 10 marks question with no choice in the paper. More over the questions from case are not fully related to the case studies given from there.
The management should put some choices in the theoritical section.
Any ways i wish all the students to get the degree.

Let the ICFAI University show the evidence of recognition o[censored]GC, DEC & AICTE for the courses conducted all over the country and prove their integrity. Wastage time and engergy of the youth for unrecognised courses is a national waste.

Consistant study and will power gives you success. My friends also have acheived great success. So beleive in yourself and work hard. . . Only thing i suspect is how much the corporates consider icfai mba from distance degree. Any idia? Is there any guy having good job after icfai mba from flexible learning.

How realistic we are in our preparations for facing the examinations. You have chosen the program from the premier Institute for quality. The standard is definitely tough and procedures stricter. Now pin pointing at repeat failures is not correct. Instead strengthen your efforts through rigorous practice and aim for quick progression through program.

I cleared all but 2 groups in a single attempt. @ groups were cleared by me in 2 attempts and now i am an MBA.

I have written my exam this year twise n i dont get any type of Books or Business megazines anything on time. but at last i came to know that i have done big mistake in my life that choosing ICFAI for my carrier even after paid their whole fees. no proofs with the struggling students making ICFAI aware of all the above comments. no updations from ICFAI for syllabus change n examination dates anything. they r not providing education but they r doing commercial business with the innocent n poor students whomever.

icfai is very good in times of taking money and as soon as its over they vanish.
the excess books that they provide is just for show, they can always end up by sending the main book that saves us a lot of money.i know how tough it is when u study for the exams and the result is a failure, the work book is just for namesake they give u no question from that.

This is true, the same has happened with my friends .Its ICFAI is cheating students, they are just earning money with the exam fees .Something needs to be done about this, I should not say this, but the truth is ...ICFAI SUCKS BIG TIME ...and they cheating people .

I have applied for MBA & it took 2 years for me to clear GROUP A exams. I have written 8 times, 2 subjects (4 papers) & paid Rs.1000 per subject every time. 8*2*1000=16000 just for Group A. Group B i had appeared 3 times but not passed as there is a condition that we need to get minimum 50 marks in both the papers of 1 subject .Now website is also not there to check the status of my MBA, exams etc. I have paid Rs.90, 000 for this MBA course. They are cheaters.

hey guys i enrolled in july 2006 and I am going to give my last group attempt in jan 2010 so there is no question about saying that they manipulate the answers and I knew everytime when i was going to clear the group and wen i did not. Moreover the study is also not so difficult coz I gave each exam by giving 2 or 3 days reading only.Well you all hav to understand this is MBA not any regular graduation course. Wel for those who are not able to clear groups by giving many attempts my seggestion is to join some other simple regular MBA course because this ICFAI MBA study is made for those who have clear consent of every subject. I agree that the course material is different and exams are also difficult, just reading the text book or preparing for exams in 2 days will not work, the guys who are not passed, need to prepare for exams alteast 1 month before the exams starts. In regards to the classes conducted during the weekends, its of no use, the Professors will nver be able to complete the portion, if we have 18 to 19 chapters, they will try to complete only 3 and its of no use(just waste of money).To know whether completing MBA through distance learning is there any better prospect, i think the students who have completed MBA through ICFAI Unversity need to answer this question.so that for the youth like us will not be demotivated if we are already presuing the education or for the students who are planning to enrole.Hope everyone will agree with this.

As a student of Icfai MBA program, I am given to understand the courseware is supplied basing on progression in the program. The step was to ensure availability o[censored]pdated courseware to aid in preparing for the examinations. I do not see any reason why should be crib over this.

ICFAI is one of the BOGUS university in the world ...I repented after taking admission...they never told me that you would need to pay for exam fees, coaching will be only for first three groups and lot many things...
They are excellent in deceiving students...I'd rather say they staff has done Master of Deceiving People (MDP)...so friends beware while taking admission in any ICFAIs course...
My would strongly recommend you do NOT to take admission for ICFAI's distance MBA...of course why, with the one forth (1/4 th) money you are getting admission in symbiosis varsity.
They have made education as Business...I'd rather say Business Ethics should be explained to ICFAI's Board first and then thier students...
Once again it is very BOGUS...it should be banned...this varsity has to be sued...

It is not the fault of institution but it is the fault of our. If we will not give our full concentration on study then how we will pass the exam. I have joined Icfai MBA on 2006.I have the doubt the answers are clearly evaluated.So we have to approach the university for result with answer sheet and question paper.and printed right answer sheet with explanation .I think we can approach right of information act as a paid student of private university. other wise we have to go through consumer court to refund the fee paid with interest for the violation of contract mentioned in Application form .

Dear Gautam, As a student enrolled into a professional program like MBA, it requires certain level of commitment from the student for hard work and intensive studying. Institutes provide material meeting the curriculum requirement, from which students are expected to read and progress through the program, therefore reaping the benefits in your future course career path.

I completely agree to the above complaint... ICFAI univeristy manipulate their exams. They purposely fail the student for the examination money. Even I have joined in the year 2007 and till now I could clear upto group F and I dont think this is worth doing this course. All the interviewers will laugh when we say we are pursuing MBA from ICFAI and it is stongly unrecommended university to proceed with studies. This is a complete foolish decision of my education till now.

icfai university is a bloody dam'n choar university mind you guys they plan in advance how much people are going to pass and have a targeted cash projection from coming examinations, i appeared 3 times in group i and cleared in 3rd time but i must tell you there was no extra effort put in third time insted the 3rd attempt was most inferior still they passed me while 1st was the most superior. so it becomes clear that icfai if cheating with us one thing more these people who are defending ICFAI university are a part of icfai image management activity they are paid for that.

In response to your reply dated 16 June 2009, - that you have replied in response to my posting titled "ICFAI Illegally violates PG Rules Injuring Credit Card Payers" in the website www.consumercomplaints.in - I am to object your statements as follows:-

(1a) That your impugned reply is nothing but appears to be a tendency to exploit innocents student for your university's financial gain that too gain it by hook or by the crook. It is indeed sad to observe that a university professional like you are so prejudiced to the student.

I have snapshots of the entire transaction that might be referred when necessary so you will gradually come to know of my interpretation about you as “prejudiced and exploits”

(1b) That please note the "student email" referred by you does not establish the fact that said online transaction was successful in all respects, in fact it was me (the credit card holder) but not the student who did the credit card transaction and I have clearly noted that it was a failed transaction.

in support of my above claim that it was a failed transaction, you please refer the emails sent to me from [protected]@icfaiuniversity.org date26 March 2009 19:15 with the subject Transaction Failure vide your Order No :[protected]. I am attaching the copy of this mail below marked with the letters (Email A)

A credit card holder can use his card online but not the student so you can not say it was a transaction done by the student.


(1c) That Rs. 1000 from said credit card was only chargeable if both Gr 'A' and Gr 'B' admit card were issued where payment for Gr 'A' was paid by the student earlier and only the payment for Gr 'B' admit card was chargeable from said credit card. So you can not charge the credit card without issuing Gr 'B' admit card, you have issued only the Gr 'A' admit card to the student for which payment was made to you earlier by the student that too by cash or alternative means but definitely not from my said credit card. Please read as I am attaching a copy of email below marked with the letters (Email A) sent by you.

(1d) That besides technically too it was a failed transaction as your site failed to acknowledge it, also note on it was not only us who experienced this problem but probably all the students who tried to make the payment online on that particular date failed to do that as your website was defective on that date. You must know that after a successful approval by the bank a payment gateway redirects it to the user site (here your site in question) but then your site had failed to acknowledge it as a successful transaction so the student failed to download the Admit Card for Gr 'B' the intended payment was for Gr 'B' only but none. Please read as I am attaching a copy of email below marked with the letters (Email A) sent by you.

(2a) That referring your statement about what your "support wote" Please note that it was against Gr. 'A' admit Card but definitely not against Gr 'B' admit card as you have never issued this.

Read following regarding the Online Order No:[protected] sent by your support.

- The Icfai has a policy of acknowledging all the transactions on the site.
