Dear Sir,

I am Priyanka Aggarwal, student of ICFAI university, enrolment number MBA2054695. I have taken admission to the ICFAi university in year 2005 in MBA course. It is a corresspondence course. ICFAI university has taken complete course fee of around Rs. 2, 00, 000 in year 2005-06. And after that they are charging Rs. 500 per paper, i.e. compulsarily a minimum of Rs. 1000 per group.
In last 4 years they have changed the pattern of exam almose every 3 months. They have also changed the subjects in the said course many times. Even after clearing the exam for the group, we had to reattempt the same group becayse the unversity has changed the course for that particular group. They have also made the exams difficult to pass as instead of giving 1 paper of 100 marks with time limit 3 hours, now we have to give 2 papers with 200 marks with time limit of 6 hours with a break. They also have a clause that simultaneously we have to clear both the papers in a group to get clear the group. All these factors force the students to fail in the exams and make money for the institute. WE STUDENT STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THESE ALL ARE THE TRICKS OF MAKING MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE.
Many times I have asked them to refund the money, but they declined. Also they declined when I asked them to change my course from MBA to MCA with the same money. I wrote many mails to the dean but he also declined to make the refund.
Just like me my cousin brother and my sister in law and a friend of mine has lost so much of money with this university. Because we ended up giving exams as we all are working and can not devote much of time in studies and hence failed in the exams besides attempting many time for the same group.
I want to raise the voice of on behalf of many students who have been cheated like this by ICFAI university and many other such universities. Please advise what can be done against this university.

as par Law Icfai unversity is being regulation by UGC act 1955 while said company is doing bussiness of share and stock and registred with the BSE and NSE and regulting by compnies Act 1955
it seem these are the cheater people who are looting, deceiving, cheting people, innocent student at large
there for UGC and our Lokshabha shuld be benned these typy of educational Mafya and fake unversity

Rana and all great Intellectual Faculty  from  INC Dharamshala .             &...⇄ I am very surprised today when somebody inform me about complaint in consumer comlaints .in, somebody use my orkut photographs and complaint on behalf of my name and its misuse of name to do such a activity . If i  have to complain  then  i do not use my orkut photgraph and i should go to the consumer court thats very near to  my  house  but i have no regrates about my MBA, About Center Head, About Faculties  about anything its really Center Head Blessings with  me that i get  job  and i  can't imagine   and questioned  about the Center Head Dignity and Intergity becz he is the only person who thinks about the student courier and when the students are not getting placement any where that time he use his personel contacts with corporate and sending students for the interview  but some students are rigid becz they were  not  interested to do the work  in insurance and out of station and that time Center Head give the oppurtunity to do the work in their home places and try again using on his contacts because during the recession we did not getting the RFP, s from anywhere but Center head keep trying to find the jobs for their students right now every one placed in Companies, i and four others my batchmates are working with me and some are those who are confused and are not willing to work are still struggling. These are very few Qualties from our Respected Center Head Col Dr P. S. the ICFAI University branch ISFS which was to conduct the Admission process in Mumbai earlier has cancelled the mumbai campus suddenly. But i have taken the form of the Course for MBA in Finance from ISFS purely with an intention to study in Mumbai. Now as they have told me earlier that i will seek admissions in Mumbai Campus, but now they are saying that i[censored] r interested u need to go in Hyderabad Campus for the Course. I m purely not in a position to Go anywhere outside Mumbai, so they are cheating me after i hav paid the Admission fees and are not refunding the Admission form Fees of Rs. 1000.

Plz. look into this ASAP as many of my friends are also against this and want their money back.
We cannot waste our money bcoz of their (ICFAI) decisions.

I am Neethu S Kumar, would like to introduce myself as an unemployed postgraduate from INC, Trivandrum 2007-09 batch. This letter is being written to the authorities that to understand the promises given by the college regarding the placement assistance and offer for the job was a clear foul play. The placement department sends me for an interview on 9th September 2008 and was selected.
The offer given to me was Deputy Agency Manager from IDBI Fortis with a package of 3lakhs per annum. I was not able to attend any other interview from this date till the course completion. As for the company and college placement department assured me this job and even there was a rule in INC that if the student get placed he/she will not allow attending further campus placement interviews. I was never provided with a proper offer letter and every day I had to ask for the offer letter (this prolonged for a period of 4months).
During the last day of course completion I told the college placement coordinator that if I don’t get the offer letter anymore I will have to ask the company head office to know the status. The very next day I was given an offer letter from IDBI Fortis. It was not at all a kind of offer letter but just a letter pad with a bit of information regarding the job profile and CTC (copy attached with this letter). The letter didn’t have anything regarding the joining date and location. Days went on and I was in total transfix as no one informed me about my joining date and location. That made me to make a serious enquiry to the concerned authority in the college. They told me to directly approach IDBI Fortis’s Trivandrum branch (I was told not to show the given letter, told as offer letter to the company from the college) When I discussed the matter with the branch manager of the concerned company, I was offered a job by them with a low package and with a condition that I should make a sale of 5lakhs before the joining date (within 4days) and this was a huge insult for me as I would have never come up for this post graduation, if I wanted to end up my career as a financial advisor or insurance agent. All this I have written is a brief about what was happened.
Now I would like to point out what I have lost due to this entire situation. I couldn’t attend any other interview due to this assured job. I have done this MBA program for the course fee of 2.26lakhs that the organization has charged, the entire amount was taken as education loan by me. The entire trust on this college and management has gone down and that make me feel ashamed for being a student of INC. This entire subject should be given immense consideration and I truly believe the management will provide me with a solution for this and seriously see that such pathetic situation will never come again for a student.

My name is Avishek Podder, i got admission at ICFAI Distance MBA course on 28th march, after one week they informed me that my application of admission was rejected because of my graduation percentage. They want 45% i had 38% but at the time of admission they did not check that, so they told me my admission rejected and they will gime me back Rs 15000 and Rs 30000 PDC with in one week. So after this matter today is 7th may i have not received my Rs 15000 and Rs 3000 PDC. After one month i mailed them and they replyed me this

And this is a matter of Rs. 15000, not a matter of joke. I have submitted all my study material to your andheri branch just after cancellation of my admission form now can you tell me why are you taking so time to refund my money?
This is enough plz refund my money as soon as possible."

and on this mail they replyed me

While we understand please note that the refund process is on and you will be receiving the refund amount with in next fifteen days to the address provided on the application.

And this is the last mail i received from ICFAI SSD department, after this no mail, no call nothing is going on. I stay in mumbai i got my admission at Andheri Branch when i call to andheri branch to know the status they always tell me that they do not know anything when my money will be refunded but before my admission they made me mad about my admission.
Now i don't know when i will have my money back because i lost my job and i need that money very badly

I am a student of Icfai National college, salem. things which happened during my studies all are fraud and they didn't ful fill any promises during the admission. they told they will furnish wi-fi connection but nothing step was taken. Guest lacturing not even a single lecturer came. Placements not even a student placed in a reputed in a good company all insurance companie only. Laptops they given all are of a bad quality not working properly. during admission they told they will conduct 4 Industrial Visits, but actually only one visit held. during the admission they will tell that all banks giving loan but in bank they are telling that No loan for icfai students and in large concerns they are not even allowing inside the campus for icfai students. For Blazer they collected Rs.2000 but even after completing our MBA we are yet to received the blazers. please please please no one join in this college. be aware of these people.

A year ago i got admission in icfaitech suchitra center in secunderabad Andhra pradesh. but after 1 year we came to know that the college have no affliation from an of the higher bodies such as ugc or aicte.
They are charging us 8 lacks rupees and giving us a peice of paper worth nothing.

IcfaiTech is a group of engg. colleges in Dehradun, bangalore, hyderabad, jaipur. The campus in dehradun is recognized by UGC and this campus has full reputation and infrastructure. Its constituents are running in the above mentiöned cities which is illegal. It cant run its off-campus centres. When this thing was told to the students of other centres while adding that they will be given diploma instead of degrees, they got angered on this and protest is going on in those centres. It was IcfaiTech Dehradun's degree which was promised to the students of these campuses which was illegal. According to the ICFAI management, its just IcfaiTech Dehradun which is the main centre and no campus has any relation with icfai. The students have been cheated. Morover, one of its campuses i.e Icfaitech Dehradun is ranked at 21st number in the latest magazine survey of top 50 private engg. institutes in india. Now the question is, what's going to happen with the students of other centres?

I have joined icfai for distance learning programme .i paid them intially 15k .later i gave them post dated cheques dated from november 1st .what they did is they called me up said we will deposit the heq on oct 30th.i said them not to do that.they said ok and deposited it.it got bounced back.wheni called them they sadi sorry.later due to hard times i thought to quit my mba from icfai .i called them up and said them i want to cancel my mba programm and asked them not to submit my pdc.sthey submitted and cheq got bounced back.later i mailed them that i lost my job and not to submit my cheques .they again submitted the cheq, and i informed bank to stop payment of cheq.then they started sending me legal notices .finally i begged them but they did not agree.then they asked me to send my resignation letter, i send them the scanned copy.later they again started to send legal notices.they are calling up and asking me to pay the money.today aslo i received a notice from them.dont know what to do.kindly help.there are lots of people like me who is approaching you with the only final hope.kindly see there is some justice done to the education system in INDIA .people who faced such situation lets join together and teach those a lesson.kindly call me at this number

i would like to complaint education department of india aside of all the students persuing b-tech course from icfai university dehradun. this college has promised and said that this university has rights as from ugc act 2(f) for b-tech course. but now we are able to know that it does not have any recognition. we are already paying more than 1 lakh per annum and we have been cheated....

I am a student of ICFAI TECH INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, Bangalore for B.Tech Degree Course The College is not approved by AICTE or UGC . At the time of admission the college authorities here claimed that we are running a recognized branch of ICFAI University Dehradun. And the prospectus, admit cards, ID cards, Gradesheets, and other certificate clearly show that the college was a branch of ICFAI UNIVERSITY, DEHRADUN and everywhere it mentions B.tech Degree Course.
On march 28, 2009 we came to know that Rishabh Jain, a student of ICFAI NATIONAL COLLEGE(another branch of Icfai Foundation) has lodged a complaint against the Icfai university, dehradun about Fraud in the Hon. Supreme Court. In deffence the University said that ", ICFAI university Dehradun had no study centre, constituent colleges, off-campus centers outside the state and its prospectus had categorical declaration to this effect" Now the students of ICFAI TECH Bangalore are on a strike to save their futures. The Director says that we may get either Degree or diploma But we Demand DEGREE. On asking for any written statement about the future of more than 300 students he blindly refused to do so, he doesn't even tell us what steps is the college management going to take in order to ensure the safe future and a valid degree for the students of Icfai Tech Bangalore. The same case is with Icfai Tech Jaipur and Hyderabad.
this is one of the costliest Engineering college in India with fees as high as 130000 P.A. The students are very Depressed thinking about their future, A large no. of students study on loans and if their future is ruined they will definitely commit suicide. Now we request the Court to please consider our plea and take immideate actions as future of Ist IInd IIIrd and IVth year students is in danger
we cannot accept a diploma after paying a large amount and even having wasted precious years of our career.

The icfaian foundation, my present employer has submitted form 13a (revised) for transfer of my PF amount from my previous account no. AP/38-HY/23694/118 to the new account AP/16969A/3006 VIDE letter date 6/8//2007 acknowldged by RPF Commissioner 's Office Barkatpura, hyderabad on the the same day

till date (30/03/09) the amount has not been transferred.

pls take nessary steps to get it transferred immediately with out further dealy.

As per ref. given above, your letter states that cancellation of enrollment was done under special case on my desire. But my desire was only because o[censored]nfair Business Practices followed by each & everyone, starting from Development executive to Central Student Service Dept. of your university.
Further, in my all previous correspondence I have asked for refund of Rs. 46, 500/-(including PDCs) I have paid towards course fee. But I have received cheque for only Rs. 22, 000/-. Can you give me details with this regard?
As my enrollment is cancelled and my name has been permanently deleted from your official records from 6th Jan 2009, I have given stop payment order to my banker on 10th Jan 2009 against PDCs I have given. (This is already communicated to you in my previous correspondences dated 27th Oct 2008, 1st Nov 2008 and 6th Nov 2008).
I have paid 27, 600 in cash till date (excluding PDCs) but only Rs.22, 000 has been refunded to me. Where balance of Rs. 5600 has gone? Are there any such charges for your Unfair Business Practices?
You may make sure that 5, 600 Rs. Pending from you towards me will be paid to me with in next 6 working days (on or before 24th Jan). Pls analyze following points your self & do the necessary arrangements for cancel my enrollment & return back money I have paid.

1) False Commitment by Development executive:
On 29th Sep 08 when I paid down payment of Rs. 15, 000, your development executive committed me delivery of course ware & call form programme coordinator regarding commencement of classes with in 10 days. But I didn’t get neither course ware nor call from programme coordinator, nor any communication (except receipt for payment) from anyone of your institution till 22nd Oct, even after continuous telephonic follow up with your development executive. So I expressed my decision of withdrawing M.B.A from your institute on 22nd Oct. 08 in telephone as well as in e-mail.
2) Unfair Business Practices by your Business Development Manager :
As reply to my mail of with drawing M.B.A, your Business development manager mentioned in her mail that books were delivered from H.O on 10th Oct 08 & returned back twice by Courier Company as there was lock at my place!!! But your H.O SSD team itself saying that books were dispatched from their side on 23rd Oct!!!.
Further to this your B.D.M is giving false reason that books were returned back twice by courier company!!! Pls note that no courier company will return the consignment with out communicating to consignee in general. If it has been sent twice why didn’t she confirmed my address & availability before sending it second time?
The answer for all these above queries from your BDM is only the silence, till date! Even she didn’t shown courtesy to receive my phone calls. What a great business development!!
3) Unfair practice of business by yor Student Support Dept.:
As reply to my mail of with drawing M.B.A, your SSD replied on 23rd Oct 08 stating that my enrollment letter has been already sent to me through e-mail on 3rd Oct. 08!!! But I received the same on 22nd Oct 08 (after my telephonic intimation of with drawing course), & even that letter is dated 22nd Oct.08. Pls let me know is it possible to send a letter dated 22nd Oct. on 3rd Oct 08?




On the top your SSD is advising me to be in touch with Courier Company by giving me consignment number. Is it my responsibility to be in touch with Courier Company as to get my books? Are your SSD ’s responsibilities ends when the course ware is dispatched from your place? Am I paying to your courier company or you? Who is having contract with courier company me or you? Who has to do the follow up me or your SSD about delivery? Your Student Service Dept. is advising more than providing services.

All the people, I approached in your institute till date are following unfair practice of telling lie to your students, either to disguise their mistakes or retain your business. Now no faith is left with me on your faculty, examiners, evaluators…..

Now, do you expect me to accept all these unfair practices & continue? Do you think telling lies to student as to retain him is fair practice? Do you think students at your institute are having any value in such a scenario? Are they getting true value for the fee they are paying?
Below mail is stating that regulations in force don’t allow canceling the admission, Does any regulations allows you to follow unfair practices in your business or service? Here I am continuously facing unfair practice from your institute, and I am fully dissatisfied with your services. Your institute is forcing compulsion on me to continue & pay all EMIs. Doesn’t it seem a state of monopoly where I have to pay for dissatisfactory services? I took conscious decision & gave firm commitment by referring your glamorous advertisements in media & having faith on your institute with out knowing truth.
Having dissatisfaction on your service standards & business practices, I am not continuing M.B.A with your institute where there is no value to me & my money. I don’t want to waste my money as well as precious time being a student of an institute having unfair practice of giving false commitments & false statements.
I don’t want to get a Masters Degree in Business from an institute which is itself having unfair practice of Business.
As I am canceling at enrolment stage itself, with out having/enjoying any kind of services from your institute, I request you authorities to do the necessary arrangements for repayment of my money of Rs .46, 500 (Rs. 21, 300 already encashed & 6300 x 4 PDCs) as earliest as possible.

Your soonest reply & action would be highly appreciated.

2) Further to this your SSD is advising me to do the follow up with Blue Dart courier by giving me consignment number for delivery of courseware for Group – A. (mail from SSD dtd 24th Oct 08. Pls let me know your Student Service Dept. is there to provide service to students or advise the students?
If I have to do the follow up with the courier company for my courseware, why I have to join the ICFAI by paying lakhs of Rs fee towards course? Even govt. based open universities offer M.B.A at very lower fee. I joined ICFAI expecting better & qualitative service for my money. But here it is only false commitments & false statements!!!
3) In your mail you are saying that my course material was dispatched from your HQ on 10 Oct 08 & it was returned back twice as there was lock at my place. But your SSD is saying that it has been dispatched from their side on 23rd Oct 08!!(mail from SSD dtd. 24th Oct 08) Can you pls provide with valid receipt no. for courier sent from your place & valid documentary proof given to you by Courier Company for lock at consignee’s place?
4) You are saying that courier was sent twice & returned back both the times as there was lock at my place. If so, why didn’t you confirm with me, about my availability time at home & correctness of address before sending it second time?
5) After having all this bitter experience continuously,
a) How can I believe that in future you will give me better service?
b) How can I believe that my examinations will conduct on time?
c) How can I believe that examination question papers will supplied to exam centers required security?

Finally, after experiencing all these false commitments & false statements, I am going to withdraw my decision of M.B.A from ICFAI at enrollment stage itself. Pls arrange for repayment of my Rs. 15000(Fifteen thousand) within next 7 bank working days (the word ‘bank’ stands for bank scheduled under RBI act.). If same amount is paid through outstation cheque or any other outstation bank instruments ICFAI need to pay clearing & any other charges as applicable. (the word outstation is with reference to my banker, i.e AXIS BANK LTD. Thane Branch).
If repayment is made within next 7 bank working days (the word ‘bank’ stands for bank scheduled under RBI act.), the separate mail will be sent to my banker as an order of stop payment against post paid cheques issued to ICFAI. If not this same mail will be forwarded for the same.

Hope you and your management will revert back to me with proper clarification to all my above points, otherwise I need to ask clarification to these points with general public with public interest & public awareness.

This leads me to think about support of Vice Chancellor to dishonest Business Development executive, dishonest Business Development Manager and dishonest student support dept. for their Unfair Business Practices.

I am doing job in a PVT company .Before 3 years (2006)I took admission in ICFAI(Distance learning Institute) for MBA programme.My roll number is MBA2069330. After completed my Graduation i took admission in this institute .A person who is representative of that college hide many things during admission time like This institute is not recognized by AICTE they hide this fact also . And the other thing about that college they took students without any necessary original documents like (Original mark sheet, Character Certificate and Graduation degree), Its mean they are giving admission only on photocopy bases.For them it`s not necessary to watching original documents before giving admission
This institute doing only business .They offers commission to their students who can find new students for their college. My friends also suffered from this institute after taking admission. They spent lakh rupees but did not pass out due to bad study pattern .Examination pattern is also hide from us. As well as they don’t conduct classes for all groups.On examination time if we need download any model paper for practice they charged 200 rs per paper, On the other hand we can download their paper from other websites without paying single rupees. I made stop payments of my rested pdc because I was aware from their business policy . They r only doing business on the name of education. Whenever I try to call them they did not give any response .It`s my request kindly take necessary action toward this institute .

I enrolled to the ICFAI BBA program with an initial amount of 15000 and I gave PDC's for remaining amount. My nightmare started once I recieved the enrollment form which spelt my name wrong, I requested them to send it corrected and I am yet to recieve it. I sent nmerous mails to the SSD ICFAI id but there was no proper response.

I sent instructions to my bank to stop the payment to ICFAI and accordingly informed ICFAI not to present the cheques to the bank. As usual there was no response from ICFAI but they went ahead and presented the cheque which was not honoured by my bank.

I got a call from ICFAI and they promised me to look into my grievances and I deposited the cash in their local branch on thier assurance and requested them to give me the address to give another set of PDC's for the remaining installments.

ICFAI did not bother about its promise of addressing my grievances nor did they tell me where to handover the new PDC's. I decided not to pursue this course and sent them a mail to that effect.
Somebody from ICFAI called me up and said that even though I want to discontinue the course I have to pay the full amount and now they have sent me a notice saying that I should pay the remaining 10000 rupees to avoid going to the court.

The ICFAI enroller who had enrolled me has also given me wrong information about the eligibility. I had not completed my 12th Standard. I was not eligible to be enrolled but was forced to enroll by ICFAI under wrong information.

I have not even written one exam through ICFAI and have paid money in advance to these people. Is it that I have to pay them the money even though I dont want to continue with ICFAI. Please advise.

I did my MBA 4m icfai national college dharamshala, i would say dat it was a complete wastage of my parents hard earned money,
1)what they promised they never gave us. every year 10000/- amount comes to the account of the college but that money is totally misutilised for marketing purposes.
2)the college campus is misutilised for other personal activities like engagement parties, satsung etc by the campus head dr.col p.s. rana.
3)moreover students are compelled to take the insurance electives.
4) students(especially beautiful girls) are misutilised for the marketing purposes.they were sent to chamba, pathankot hamirpur etc. wasting their precious time for study.
5) qualifications and experience of the faculties is not appropriate for teaching.some were just insurance agents and some were dropout b.tech.
6)there were no industrial tour for final year batch.
7)campus head uses abusive language in hindi for the students. which is a complete insult
