Dear Concern,
As per ref. given above, your letter states that cancellation of enrollment was done under special case on my desire. But my desire was only because o[censored]nfair Business Practices followed by each & everyone, starting from Development executive to Central Student Service Dept. of your university.
Further, in my all previous correspondence I have asked for refund of Rs. 46, 500/-(including PDCs) I have paid towards course fee. But I have received cheque for only Rs. 22, 000/-. Can you give me details with this regard?
As my enrollment is cancelled and my name has been permanently deleted from your official records from 6th Jan 2009, I have given stop payment order to my banker on 10th Jan 2009 against PDCs I have given. (This is already communicated to you in my previous correspondences dated 27th Oct 2008, 1st Nov 2008 and 6th Nov 2008).
I have paid 27, 600 in cash till date (excluding PDCs) but only Rs.22, 000 has been refunded to me. Where balance of Rs. 5600 has gone? Are there any such charges for your Unfair Business Practices?
You may make sure that 5, 600 Rs. Pending from you towards me will be paid to me with in next 6 working days (on or before 24th Jan). If not all further correspondences are addressed directly to below mentioned authorities for the same and all the mental & emotional harassments gone through me:

Pls analyze following points your self & do the necessary arrangements for cancel my enrollment & return back money I have paid.
1) False Commitment by Development executive:
On 29th Sep 08 when I paid down payment of Rs. 15, 000, your development executive committed me delivery of course ware & call form programme coordinator regarding commencement of classes with in 10 days. But I didn’t get neither course ware nor call from programme coordinator, nor any communication (except receipt for payment) from anyone of your institution till 22nd Oct, even after continuous telephonic follow up with your development executive. So I expressed my decision of withdrawing M.B.A from your institute on 22nd Oct. 08 in telephone as well as in e-mail.
2) Unfair Business Practices by your Business Development Manager :
As reply to my mail of with drawing M.B.A, your Business development manager mentioned in her mail that books were delivered from H.O on 10th Oct 08 & returned back twice by Courier Company as there was lock at my place!!! But your H.O SSD team itself saying that books were dispatched from their side on 23rd Oct!!!.
Further to this your B.D.M is giving false reason that books were returned back twice by courier company!!! Pls note that no courier company will return the consignment with out communicating to consignee in general. If it has been sent twice why didn’t she confirmed my address & availability before sending it second time?
The answer for all these above queries from your BDM is only the silence, till date! Even she didn’t shown courtesy to receive my phone calls. What a great business development!!
3) Unfair practice of business by yor Student Support Dept.:
As reply to my mail of with drawing M.B.A, your SSD replied on 23rd Oct 08 stating that my enrollment letter has been already sent to me through e-mail on 3rd Oct. 08!!! But I received the same on 22nd Oct 08 (after my telephonic intimation of with drawing course), & even that letter is dated 22nd Oct.08. Pls let me know is it possible to send a letter dated 22nd Oct. on 3rd Oct 08?
On the top your SSD is advising me to be in touch with Courier Company by giving me consignment number. Is it my responsibility to be in touch with Courier Company as to get my books? Are your SSD ’s responsibilities ends when the course ware is dispatched from your place? Am I paying to your courier company or you? Who is having contract with courier company me or you? Who has to do the follow up me or your SSD about delivery? Your Student Service Dept. is advising more than providing services.
All the people, I approached in your institute till date are following unfair practice of telling lie to your students, either to disguise their mistakes or retain your business. Now no faith is left with me on your faculty, examiners, evaluators…..
Now, do you expect me to accept all these unfair practices & continue? Do you think telling lies to student as to retain him is fair practice? Do you think students at your institute are having any value in such a scenario? Are they getting true value for the fee they are paying?
Below mail is stating that regulations in force don’t allow canceling the admission, Does any regulations allows you to follow unfair practices in your business or service? Here I am continuously facing unfair practice from your institute, and I am fully dissatisfied with your services. Your institute is forcing compulsion on me to continue & pay all EMIs. Doesn’t it seem a state of monopoly where I have to pay for dissatisfactory services? I took conscious decision & gave firm commitment by referring your glamorous advertisements in media & having faith on your institute with out knowing truth.
Having dissatisfaction on your service standards & business practices, I am not continuing M.B.A with your institute where there is no value to me & my money. I don’t want to waste my money as well as precious time being a student of an institute having unfair practice of giving false commitments & false statements.
I don’t want to get a Masters Degree in Business from an institute which is itself having unfair practice of Business.
As I am canceling at enrolment stage itself, with out having/enjoying any kind of services from your institute, I request you authorities to do the necessary arrangements for repayment of my money of Rs .46, 500 (Rs. 21, 300 already encashed & 6300 x 4 PDCs) as earliest as possible.

However, for the benefit of those students who could not pay the program fee and to avoid hassles associated with arrangement of funds through alternative sources, the EMI facility is offered to faclitate such students to pursue the program.
Accordingly, the facility was extended to you on your specific request and commitment to honor the PDCs issued for the facility.

2) Further to this your SSD is advising me to do the follow up with Blue Dart courier by giving me consignment number for delivery of courseware for Group – A. (mail from SSD dtd 24th Oct 08. Pls let me know your Student Service Dept. is there to provide service to students or advise the students?
If I have to do the follow up with the courier company for my courseware, why I have to join the ICFAI by paying lakhs of Rs fee towards course? Even govt. based open universities offer M.B.A at very lower fee. I joined ICFAI expecting better & qualitative service for my money. But here it is only false commitments & false statements!!!
3) In your mail you are saying that my course material was dispatched from your HQ on 10 Oct 08 & it was returned back twice as there was lock at my place. But your SSD is saying that it has been dispatched from their side on 23rd Oct 08!!(mail from SSD dtd. 24th Oct 08) Can you pls provide with valid receipt no. for courier sent from your place & valid documentary proof given to you by Courier Company for lock at consignee’s place?
4) You are saying that courier was sent twice & returned back both the times as there was lock at my place. If so, why didn’t you confirm with me, about my availability time at home & correctness of address before sending it second time?
5) After having all this bitter experience continuously,
a) How can I believe that in future you will give me better service?
b) How can I believe that my examinations will conduct on time?
c) How can I believe that examination question papers will supplied to exam centers required security?
d) How can I believe that my answer papers will evaluated honestly at your university?
Finally, after experiencing all these false commitments & false statements, I am going to withdraw my decision of M.B.A from ICFAI at enrollment stage itself. Pls arrange for repayment of my Rs. 15000(Fifteen thousand) within next 7 bank working days (the word ‘bank’ stands for bank scheduled under RBI act.). If same amount is paid through outstation cheque or any other outstation bank instruments ICFAI need to pay clearing & any other charges as applicable. (the word outstation is with reference to my banker, i.e AXIS BANK LTD. Thane Branch).
If repayment is made within next 7 bank working days (the word ‘bank’ stands for bank scheduled under RBI act.), the separate mail will be sent to my banker as an order of stop payment against post paid cheques issued to ICFAI. If not this same mail will be forwarded for the same.
Hope you and your management will revert back to me with proper clarification to all my above points, otherwise I need to ask clarification to these points with general public with public interest & public awareness.

With willing to enroll for M.B.A. course & have paid fees pf Rs 15000( Fifteen Thousand Only receipt No. 34412 dtd 30th Sep. 08, paid through AXIS bank debit card transaction id:[protected]/290908) dated 29th Sep 08.
As per told by you I am supposed to receive course materials & your programme coordinator is to be call me regarding commencement of classes, within ten days from date of payment. (Its 22nd day today.)
Even after continues 4 – 5 times telephone follow up with you, I haven't received neither call from your coordinator not the course materials. Now I am not happy with your services. This unhappy & dissatisfaction has made me to take back my decision of M.B.A. from ICFAI.
I request you to arrange for return my money Of Rs. 15000 (Fifteen thousand) ASAP. Hope next five days are quiet enough to you to pay back the same amount. Pls do the needful.

I can’t understand rather than highlighting issue directly to the Institute, why people are more concentrated on posting issues on forums. They are harasing me by sending dishonor letters for late payment every week. I get many calls to pay the fees and never got the call for rejoining the course. I did not attend any exams and even not continiuing the cousre so i m not liable to pay the fees. And also now thay are threatening me that if I dont pay the compltete fees i will have to come to Hydrabad court for legal actio.
Now it has been proved thet this unversity is not not an actaul unversity but is just a business centre where we fools invest our money and time without knowing the further consequnces. I URGE PEPOLE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS INSTITUTE PROPERLY AND THEN ONLY THINK TO JOIN THIS INSTITUTE, OR ELSE LIST OF FOOL PEOPLE WILL GO ON. I REQUEST TO EDUCATION MINISTER AND HEAD OF THIS UNVERSITY TO LOOK INTO IN MATTER.
i am ankita pattanaik from bhubaneswar.i have given jan.10 exam for mba, but i cant view my results for dishonour of cheque in the month of february.why?if i have paid fully upto the month of jan and appeared the exam.then why cnt i view my results for that particular month, the system in icfai university is the worst one.they only look forward to charge money in every matter with zero performance.i paid them that cheque amount including the dishonour charges.but here the system is so slow.and telecallers will call and iritate you all the time.so please guys.be awre of this university coz i have to continue any how becuase the money is not refundable.thats why please be alert when ever you think that you are going to invest in a bad organisation lik this.
im studying B.Tech final year in chennai i want to join in ICFAI hyderabad After reading all this comments posted on the forum i thought of better wait for one more year and join in another university, can anyone tell me whether this university offers education or just it's a business centre for exchanging money reply me soon
Please note that you are pursuing a distance education which requires certain degree of individual effort to complete the program. The classes are only an option and if you are not satisfied, you can always opt out of it. Being a distance education program you can as well complete the program through self study.

I am pleased to inform you that I have completed 1st Phrase of my MBA programme in time. Things were smooth till my Group E examination (under 2nd Phrase). But surprisingly in Group F examination, I could not get even a pass mark with a repeated honest effort of four times!
Now I am in a fix regarding my future prospect is concern. I would like to inform you that I hail from a remote Maoists prone village under West Bengal. Situation is so strained that I had to leave my village with empty resources. I have taken loan from my relative to pursue this MBA programme. It was in my mind that after completion my MBA, I could manage to start some earnings and my loan amount may be repaid on time to time basis.
This is very honest to say that I have discharged all my efforts at my level best to pass my examination. But I am not getting my desired results as I experienced earlier. Even twice, my result came with marks unchanged! This is very frustrating as I have lost one vital year for particularly this Group F alone.
This may be relevant to inform you that with my personal pursuation, three number students[protected],[protected], and[protected] enrolled and they are now somehow putting me in a wrong corner because of my present situation.
Considering the situation above, you are requested to look into this matter for suitable consideration unless it will be hard to motivate myself to proceed further in my MBA programme. This is further to say that this MBA degree is much needed for me to earn my living.
I have no more words to express. Wish for your kind consideration so that my motivation to this level still prevail and can complete my MBA within shortest possible time. I respect my ICFAI University and hope ICFAI will trust me.

My name is Mohammed Abdul Shakeel Sadiq- Enrollment number[protected], I
am writing this email to raise a critical issue at hand and want you to
take quick and appropraite action on this,
- Mr. Ramakrishna had enrolled me into this program in June 2011 from
Riyadh KSA and since then I have paid initailly Rs. 10, 000 and the monthly
Rs. 3600 as instructed.
- He said he is the concerned point of contact for me and will arrange
the exam date and local centre in Riyadh KSA before the exams in Jan 2012.
- I have been trying to contact him since 1 and half month without any
response.
- I have got the books and thoroughly prepared for the exams now and not
aware of the present situation to go about it.
- Please help me to the next step and I want a strict action to be taken
against Ramakrishna as he is not responding to any of my queries on emails
and over the phone.
- If this is the way ICFAI works i do not want to be a part of the
program and want to cancel the enrollment and want my complete refund
immediately.
- If you people cannot arrange my exams in Jan and in Riyadh KSA, I
would appreciate to refund me immediately.
Please read below email, and after asking Mr. Rajesh in SSD to cancel the enrollment, he said in the 24, 000 Rupees I paid I will get only 10, 000Rs as refund, which is not at all acceptable and I will file a case of misleading information, wrong promises and utter hidden charges against ICFAI, if you guys do not come up with a win win situatioin.
The Marketing guy Ramakrishna, hass still not contacted me nor he is picking up my phone. I want you to take action immeditely or else I will file a case against ICFAI & Ramakrishna.

Dear Sir,
I am Priyanka Aggarwal, student of ICFAI university, enrolment number MBA2054695. I have taken admission to the ICFAi university in year 2005 in MBA course. It is a corresspondence course. ICFAI university has taken complete course fee of around Rs. 2, 00, 000 in year 2005-06. And after that they are charging Rs. 500 per paper, i.e. compulsarily a minimum of Rs. 1000 per group.
In last 4 years they have changed the pattern of exam almose every 3 months. They have also changed the subjects in the said course many times. Even after clearing the exam for the group, we had to reattempt the same group becayse the unversity has changed the course for that particular group. They have also made the exams difficult to pass as instead of giving 1 paper of 100 marks with time limit 3 hours, now we have to give 2 papers with 200 marks with time limit of 6 hours with a break. They also have a clause that simultaneously we have to clear both the papers in a group to get clear the group. All these factors force the students to fail in the exams and make money for the institute. WE STUDENT STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THESE ALL ARE THE TRICKS OF MAKING MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE.
Many times I have asked them to refund the money, but they declined. Also they declined when I asked them to change my course from MBA to MCA with the same money. I wrote many mails to the dean but he also declined to make the refund.
Just like me my cousin brother and my sister in law and a friend of mine has lost so much of money with this university. Because we ended up giving exams as we all are working and can not devote much of time in studies and hence failed in the exams besides attempting many time for the same group.
I want to raise the voice of on behalf of many students who have been cheated like this by ICFAI university and many other such universities. Please advise what can be done against this university.
I totally disagree with SSO, even me and my friend faced the same problem with this guys. ICFAI is a very big cheat. We also enroll for MBA Flexible programme in 2007 and we didn't wrote any exam till date. After paying upto 60, 000 Rupees, the university is not responding at all on our queries.
