I was resigned from ICFAI National College-Vallabh Vidyanagar-Gujarat (under ICFAI University) from the post of an "Assistant Accounts Officer". I was join with this organisation on 6th April 2005. I have resigned from the college on 16th October' 2008 and had submitted my PF withdrawal forms with the institute at their rigional office at Vadodara, but I am yet to receive my PF amount . I am right now at Canada since last eight maonths. I had worked under three different name of Icfai National College. 1. Resource Education Society, Icfaian Foundation & Icfai Academy. I mentioned my all PF account numbers as under.

They do not pass students! I am a student of MBA, appeared for group B 2 times now, . And i am above average student. I am from commerce background and therefore OB and Eco are easy subjects for me.

I took training classes this time for both the subjects but the teachers did not complete the course. they left most of the important chapters.

They charge us hefty smount as fees but we have to pay for downloading papers. and to give exams.

Now they have stopped letting us download earlier exam papers for reference so that students get another reasn to blame themselves for failing the papers! This is extremely wrong on ICFAI part. If this is the way they continue we are goin to drag them to the court...

I do not wish to continue my course. I want REFUND

As I understand, you seem to have been enrolled into a distance-learning program, which stresses on preparation through self-study. Under distance learning, Institutes provide material meeting the curriculum requirement, from which students are expected to read and progress through the program. That would mean a great commitment from the student for hard work and intensive studying. Training classes are not mandatory and are complementary in nature, to aid when you do not assimilate through self-study. Read in-between lines from the material that is provided, practice well the concepts taught there under, attempt model question papers under examination conditions and reap benefits of intensive reading. You would not need past QPs, when you prepare on suggested lines

I am kumar Karun(BCA).I am suffering from the very bad result of the university.I have been failing 4 times in the paper Data Structure and i believe that I am not so poor student that i can even pass a single paper.I dont know the exact reason but this redicluous.Ia m sufferinf every time and i will never prefer any of my known person to take admision to your university because the university is playing with life of a innocent students.I think the university fails the students to take exams fee again and again.I dont care that what you will do after reading my mail because you have left me in the centre from where i am not able to choose the right way.The flexible style of resut is so bad that is un explanationable.I wish god for those students who wants to take the admissions in the ICFAI flexible education to never take admission here..

By merely enrolling at MBA program doest not expect the university to pass you, just because you have paid the full fee. You have been given courseware, workbook etc. Please apply your mind and study hard to get through the exams. We are giving quality courseware and preparing such material is a very costly exercise for us. We need to pay the faculty to prepare the courseware. We also give you good no. of books. These books are produced with high cost. Therefore our fee is high.

ya the institute doesnot need to pass me. But if your question paper has been repeated a nuumber of times.. and the answers are correct as i have studied it well. i donot think i will fail.

Secondly I have PASSED My MBA from a PROPER INSTITUTE. without a single KT. I have been a good student all my study life and stuff thats taught in MBA is not as difficult as u potray it!! It is just a bit more than what is taugt in your graduation. Sometimes its more simpler.

I m fully agree with you these ICFAI university is really not relible and worst in india. I have decided to go to media regarding this. we all students are with you.

No need to worry you can get back your fee, But tell me you have any proof that they confirmed, will return the fee in case you are withdrawing your admission.

Consult a lawyer and on his note pad send a legal court Notice it wont cost too much if still not able to recover File a note in Consumer Court, They do not delay in judgement too much.

Apart from that write about this to diatance learning board so that they may be answerable by the authority.
Still in difficulty let me know I will make you more possible and feasible innovative solution, You will get back your Money.

U should have clarified that, before taking admission. As I know the ICFAI University is approved by UGC under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.

My son took admission and registered his name with School of Management Science, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Sibpur, Howrah for the course MBA[protected] ID No.[protected]. But later he got a chance in a much better college and withdrawn his name on 04/7/2011 long before commencing of class. However, yet he do not have get back the eligible amount of money deposited (Rs.35000/-) during his admission.He applied for the refund.I pursue regularly by telephone and meet them twice but all the time they excuse that decision of refund yet to pass in the next meeting.I have lost all hopes, please help and tell me if anything in this regard can be done.

It is noted from the blog that you are pursuing the program under installment scheme. It will be better if you read the program prospectus to know the details on handling such issues. There are procedures available to solve all the problems. As a student, I took the help of the Arbitrator as indicated in the prospectus to sort out my grievances. If you have some genuine difficulty, you can also take the help of the Arbitrator. Hopefully, they will be settled.

I am not surprised that Photon contacted you. Photon is run by Tejaswy Nandury, the son of NJ Yasaswy, who run the ICFAI.

The only mistake you have mentioned is while instructing the bank to stop payment the cheque issued by you to Icfai, you have not concurrently advised us about this step. Had you told us about the stop payment order, our agents would not have submitted the cheque to the bank. However there is no justification for our agent to be rude with you when you called. Kindly accept our apologies for this behavior. Please furnish all details we have asked for, so that we can sort out this issue to your satisfaction.

My name is Rashmi Gupta, and i am a student . I enrolled in ICFAI, Swarup Nagar branch, kanpur, for a 2 year course in business management & My Enrolment Number was[protected]. Initially i was asked to pay an amount of Rs10000/, which I paid . I was then asked to submit about 18 post dated cheques in the name of ICFAI (Rs. 4323/each ) these too were deposited by me . After the first semester, which i was one of the few to qualify in my batch, i was appointed as Admin Executive in Delhi . So i opted out of the MBA course and joined the job .I also instructed my bank to stop payment to all cheques henceforth .

Presently I am not living in Kanpur. I’m living in Delhi Because I’m doing job so that’s why I can not received any letters to sent by you .From my previous address & by old links, i received a notice of look adalot of Hyderabad from Hifco Marwel /Photon capital advisors Ltd for bouncing cheque & pending amount or savior legal action will be taken on 1st. Aug.2010.

In past I had already informed to you that I did not want to continue the course, After Prior information why u sent me this type of legal notice in my previous address while that you have my own mail id.

I have to pay the entire Course fee which is injustice to me. I don’t know, how Hifco Marwel came to the Picture where The Registration has done with ICFAI.

I hope all students like me get the Justice.

I am sure the form we submit for enrollment is given from the prospectus, which gives all details concerning the program. Hence, question of Icfai withholding the information doesn’t exist. I am pained to see concerted campaign by disinterested parties, for their own lackluster performance.

I am a student of ICFAI university Tripura, recently I got problem regarding eligibility for exams I have sent my complaint to ICFAI University Tripura arbitration Tribunal, Then I received prompt reply from them and my problem got solved. I can’t understand rather than highlighting issue directly to the Institute, why people are more concentrated on posting issues on forums. ICFAI is one of the BOGUS university in the world ...I repented after taking admission...they never told me that you would need to pay for exam fees, coaching will be only for first three groups and lot many things...
They are excellent in deceiving students...I'd rather say they staff has done Master of Deceiving People (MDP)...so friends beware while taking admission in any ICFAIs course...
I would strongly recommend you do NOT to take admission for ICFAI's distance MBA...of course why, with the one forth (1/4 th) money you are getting admission in symbiosis varsity.
They have made education as Business...I'd rather say Business Ethics should be explained to ICFAI's Board first and then thier students...
Once again it is very BOGUS...it should be banned...this varsity has to be sued...

Dear ICFAI SSD,

As i have informed you already, I cant continue with the
program due to my health problem and not got proper support from your
side for the course studies.Recently i heard that High court of
madras(Justices S J Mukhopadhaya and V Dhanapalan dated 12th june
2009) had banned you from running institutions of this kind in the
state of Tamil Nadu and you are hereby restrained from running such
institutions .These are the main reasons for my withdrawl.

Actually today i have surveyed all the
complaints against universities over here so finally i found that you
are the one of the leading Grievances holder & most of complaints
against your unfair fee strucutre policies. why are the most of
complaints against your university, that means many students are
suffering from your unfair practices & still if there is such kind of
drawbacks in your policies then why don't u amend it so that students
can get relief. No doubt you are playing safe but this is not the
matter of playing with students. you are here for students welfare not
for personal monetary desires. & in which book of law is written that
student can't withdraw from their studies but still your university
insist not for withdraw from program & in which book of law is written
that the study which he is not studying anymore, he has to pay. &
please sir, now don't say me to mail to ssd & waiting for the
necessary action cause now this is not the matter of you & me only,
thousands of students are waiting for your answer on this mail.

The attached notification by UGC dated April 22, 2007, is one of the
best office orders as far as student rights are concerned. It
clearly mandates that no Govt. approved institution can retain fees,
as well as the original certificates. Even withdrawals after the
start of the course must be pro rata.


So consider my request and refund. If you still
don't want to refund, I will file a case against you in the court.
Also will publish this issue in media like all TV channels and leading
news papers.I am expecting the refund as early as possible.

Hi Kumar!

You may be knowing from your experience that Every University/Institute charges the full amount of the program fee to the student at the outset. From your writing, it is clear that you are availing EMI facility for the program that you are pursuing from ICFAI University. By extending this facility, the University is doing a very good service to its students who find it difficult to pay the full amount in lump sum. Had you paid the full program fee in the beginning and after that wanted to withdraw from the program, what would you have done because no University/Institute refunds the amount paid. Here I will advise you to clear the EMIs and continue with the program. Or if you have very genuine problems to withdraw from the program, you can definitely project directly to them. Why don’t you approach the Arbitrator?

First please furnish us your enrollment no, program and year of enrollment. Secondly please state your specific grievance. Nearly stating that UGC has recognized 110 universities did not suffice. If you have a specific grievance and we have not attended to it, we shall immediately attend.
If you have decided to withdraw from whatever reason, from the course you have enrolled in, please state clearly so that you give an application and we can try to arrange for refund.

Please do not make deformative statements that Icfai has cheated you etc without having sufficient evidence at your disposal. If you have evidence, we will exam and make comments. If you do not have sufficient evidence please reframe from making deformative statement.
You have also mentioned that you plan to take legal action. Please let us know the grounds on which you want to sue us.

Forced charging for CIMBAG

ICFAI is forcing me to pay 5000 to join CIMBAG. It is not allowing me to register fro exam. It was not at all mentioned in the admission brochure. Any one let me know how can we complain against it.

I faced similar kind of problem. I worked with INC for about 1 year. My PF A/C is AP/HY/56966/08136. Only Rs 5, 200 has been credited to my account. Remaining bigger amount has not been paid. When contacted with EPFO Hyderabad, they told to resubmit the withdrwal form through the employer. But I am failing to contact ICFAI Academy. None of them are receiving call or responding to mail.

I was an ex employee of ICFAI. I am highly dissapointed to see the way they are dealing with their old employees.
I claimed my PF in the month of June, 2010, but till date I am struggling for the same. Even If I called to their PDD office in Hyderbad, I always receive answer like " concerned person not available.

I worked with INC for about 6 months in legal department as Dy.Law officer. I was given form no.13 at the time of leaving the organization on 3-3-2008 and the same I have forwarded to my current employer in turn they set the revised form No.13 to ICFAI Academy for verification of Columns 1to 7 and asked to send the relevant forms to RPFC for transfer of my PF & Pension fund accumulation. But so far I have not been informed whether the transfer was done or not. I am failing to contact ICFAI Academy for details. None of them are receiving call or responding to mail. i take admission in INC Nasik while tajing admission i told that it has 100% placement and UGC aprroval.
Yesterday The college told me that government has taken their UGC approval and my admission is being cancelled.Now there is no option for me because the procedure for admission in all other college is over.Please help me what should i do?

INC has been offering Academic Support and Placement assistance to the students undertaking MBA program of ICFAI University, Dehradun. ICFAI University, Dehradun, is a University approved by the UGC under section 2(f) and continues to be so. Considering the recent announcement by the Government, the management has decided to wait for further clarity prior to offering such program across the country. There is no other reason for stopping fresh admissions. In case the student is wanting to undertake MBA program from ICFAI University, he/she can do from ICFAI University-Uttarakhand, ICFAI University-Jharkhand or ICFAI University-Tripura. He/she can do so by seeking admission in INCs located in the respective states.

Really a funny thing that I studied hard for the exams & every time we failed due to short of 2 or 3 marks only. There might be a intention to earn money from the students. I have enrolled in jan 2006 & still i am struggling to get through first group. Before writing this i have enrolled for the next exams.
Even I didn't understood passing criteria of this university. What these peoples want to prove that we are not having the caliber to make it or they are there to make money only.

I completely disagee with your complains. ICFAI gives opportunity without any entrance test. Is there any other university which can offer that in India. They also promise guranteed job, once again can you find out any other university which gives admission without any entrance test and promises job with hefty salary.
ICFAI has more than 50000 students are they all fools. We have students who are sticking with the university even failing continuously for more than 12 semesters. We challenged the American dominace in finance industry by getting the CFA America out of India and still you are having complaints. If you fail it is your problem. Our ex students are working as CEO and Chairman of various companies. To be frank cracking the exams of ICFAI is tougher than getting admission in it. We never compromise with the quality.

ICFAI — Excess Fee

At the time of joining the course they asked to me to Pay a Fee of Rs55, 000 and Tution Fee of Rs 10, 000, and said you can clear the course with in spain of 7 (seven) years and there will be no other fee. Later for every exam they collected a Fee of RS 1000 per exam every qurter. And I was not able to take exam in 2 qyrs due personal problem, now after a span of 2.5 yrs, they say that there is a due of RS 1000 as annual charges which was never told to me at the time of joining the course.

Is there any way / possibility to get back my course fee??

As far as I am concerned, ICFAI, I guess education is a good business for these guys, and they charge around not less then 70, 000 Rupees which is almost equlivant to getting into a regular college. Why does the Indian Educational Board does not take any action in nullifying such educational boards?.
Are they also a partly benefited by under the table and over the table dealings??.

I am also a student of ICFAI pursuing MBA. I am availing the training class facilities as promised in the program prospectus. My local branch arranged the faculty for conduct of classes. Why cannot you approach the program coordinator at your nearest branch. Otherwise you can call Student Services Department at toll free numbers to resolve your issue.

ICFAI is a private University and fee structure is at higher side as no aid is provided from Government. Every product deserves its value depending on quality and utility. The quality of education imparted by the Institute is among the top ranking Institutions in India. ICFAI alumni are most sought after professionals in corporate sector. The program fee is clearly spelt out in the program prospectus, you should have compared with other Institutes before enrolled into the program. Why to crib now.

I am very angry with ICFAI and let me tell you that i enroll with icfai mba program last year and at that time they have assured me that the fee structure are going to increase in coming few month thus trusting their word i took admission and within 3 to 4 months after my enrollment the fees reduced by 20, 000. Any institute revises fee with passage of time. You seem to have joined earlier but could not complete the course during validity period. Instead of murmuring over revised fee, read well and concentrate on early completion of the program.

The term infringement is a misnomer. ICFAI has made it clear that CPA is a registered trade mark, and that in due course the University will try to get affiliation at international level. The prevailing practice of confining statutory recognition to only one profesional body of C A 's is a practice developed during British monarchy days, and the world presently requires more participation. After all, whether you are CA or CPA, what ultimately matters is dedication to devote and master the subjects. Regarding innumerable complaints heard about ICFAI university, I feel that an Association of students who are really aggrieved, should jointly raise funds, and fight their grievances in the legal way, so that, such case laws would be healthy precedents for suceeding generations.

I am very much agree with the ICFAI misguided the students. Once you take the admission they hardly listen to the student. In my case, I am a working professional and I took my admission in MBA program in ICFAI. While taking my admission I have said my condition to the ICFAI representative about my timing problem and said that I will not have a time more than 2hr on any day, will take my class. if ICFAI is having such a time for me then I am ready to take the admission, and the ICFAI person agreed that we give only two hour class. but when I joined my class, the durations went to 2 to 4, 6 and sometimes 7 to 8hr.

After having word regarding my concern they said write a mail to Rooma Thore, then Rooma said write a mail to Deepa, then the process goes to RSM level person but still I am for the value of my hard earnd money. After so many emails, there is no solutions..

They are not ready refund my money and nor arranging my durations of class, on which they agreed and taken my admission.

I urge all the student that if any University is in such a practice convey this issues to them..as their classes quality is also poor.

And pls go to the Consumer Forum with all the docs so that they will learn their lesson...

I have waste my crucial time in my life to join here wost universtiy of India amongs all education related to M.B.A. I not abe to acquire satisfactory job because this education is part time and I given as a full time without job. I had taken admission 27/04/07 but as on date did not finish this course. Every people ask me when you finish this pathetic course I have no answer for this. I suggest to every student never ever join this university.
ICFAI intentionally fail student because student paid exam fees earn huge profit. Subsequently this course limit 3 years if you give your full time otherwise you never finish this courseware.
I have already waste my life as well as my money. moreover nobody easily recognize this university and also this education provide pathetic placement.
I face many interview and my experience says all this.

I suggest personally dont ever join ICFAI Universtiy because India's worst university this university recognize only tale money from student.

ICFAI is one of the BOGUS university in the world ...I repented after taking admission...they never told me that you would need to pay for exam fees, coaching will be only for first three groups and lot many things...
They are excellent in deceiving students...I'd rather say they staff has done Master of Deceiving People (MDP)...so friends beware while taking admission in any ICFAIs course...
I would strongly recommend you do NOT to take admission for ICFAI's distance MBA...of course why, with the one forth (1/4 th) money you are getting admission in symbiosis varsity.
They have made education as Business...I'd rather say Business Ethics should be explained to ICFAI's Board first and then thier students...

I have successfully completed MBA from ICFAI and feel all the complaints up here are baseless, Not safe for girls! excuse me, ridiculous!!!
Most of the people who are complaining here are either dropouts or comeup with lame excuses like not receiving study material...can you not call up the ssd who reply with a week or go to their centre which is located almost everywhere where the course is offered...the people out here are just cribbing rather then taking action over the problem...lame!

I am not trying to mock the guy who is complaining but his English really sucks!!!
You need good communication skills and fluency to become a good manager...and this guy is speaking like a Pakistani!!!

ICFAI is a FRAUD.Though they claim non profit organasiation.They make only profit...

Dear ICFAI SSD,

As i have informed you already, I cant continue with the
program due to my health problem and not got proper support from your
side for the course studies.Recently i heard that High court of
madras(Justices S J Mukhopadhaya and V Dhanapalan dated 12th june
2009) had banned you from running institutions of this kind in the
state of Tamil Nadu and you are hereby restrained from running such
institutions .These are the main reasons for my withdrawl.

Actually today i have surveyed all the
complaints against universities over here so finally i found that you
are the one of the leading Grievances holder & most of complaints
against your unfair fee strucutre policies. why are the most of
complaints against your university, that means many students are
suffering from your unfair practices & still if there is such kind of
drawbacks in your policies then why don't u amend it so that students
can get relief. No doubt you are playing safe but this is not the
matter of playing with students. you are here for students welfare not
for personal monetary desires. & in which book of law is written that
student can't withdraw from their studies but still your university
insist not for withdraw from program & in which book of law is written
that the study which he is not studying anymore, he has to pay. &
please sir, now don't say me to mail to ssd & waiting for the
necessary action cause now this is not the matter of you & me only,
thousands of students are waiting for your answer on this mail.

The attached notification by UGC dated April 22, 2007, is one of the
best office orders as far as student rights are concerned. It
clearly mandates that no Govt. approved institution can retain fees,
as well as the original certificates. Even withdrawals after the
start of the course must be pro rata.


So consider my request and refund. If you still
don't want to refund, I will file a case against you in the court.
Also will publish this issue in media like all TV channels and leading
news papers.I am expecting the refund as early as possible.

One of the responses is given by alisha.singhania she must be a paid employee of this fraud organizations. Also there is a response that suggests to write to SSD for resolution of complaint, they are again making fool of all- Recently I sent 15 e-mails to SSD, called up their toll free number at least fifty time but all in vain.

This use alisha.singhania talks of bad english, rather she should focus on her deeds instead of finding faults in others. She says 'this persons English sucks', or she is sucking all others with her fake response.

Hi All,
I had enrolled for MBA course in ICFAI. I am unable to clear Group E for the past 5 attempts. I was a bright student in college and since childhood had not attended any tuitions or classes. When I had called up the ICFAI office in Hyderabad, the guy who picked the call seemed to be drunk and his tone was abusive. He told me that since I have a job in MNC, failing in the exams should not be a big concern.
ICFAI should understand what professionalism means. If they dont, then it is useless them running the Institute.
