Toll plaza fastag system malfunctioning where the display shows insufficient balance and after you pay cash. You get an sms with fastag deduction.
This is exactly what happened with me on 10th jan 2020; 0651 hrs at khalapur toll plaza on my way to mumbai.
I had paid at talegoan rs 173- using my fastag and the available balance showed rs 232/- in the sms received.
On reaching khalapur i was told and the display showed "insufficient balance" th toll collector was very rude and kept blabbering that we come in queque and do not sufficient balance on our fastag wallets. When i protested and showed him the sms about the balance displayed in the sms, he refused to believe and kept blaming me for it.
I paid cash of rs 173 again. I did collect receipt and got sms after 15 mins about fastag usage and deduction.
This means i had sufficient balance but i was duped by the malfunctioning tag reader
