[Resolved]  Iffco-Tokio General Insurance — Car Insurance Claim Amount Not Received

I have a car insurance from Iffco Tokio General Insurance Company under policy no. 84885322 for my car HR26 BC 8223. In Oct-13, my car met with an accident and an insurance claim amount was approved by the insurance company for payment but till today I didn't receive the amount either as fund transfer to my account directly or thru cheque. I made repetitive follow up in the past with many personnel at Iffco Tokio (surveyor, claim office personnel, customer helpline) and all talking good things but end of the day, I didn't get the claim amount. I have made a complaint with complaint no. 1-[protected] on 19th Nov 2013. I got a call on the same day that we are processing the claim and in Iffco Tokio they closed the complaint on the same day. I don't understand that when the issue is not closed by way of claim amount receipt by me (for which I made complaint) then how theey can close the complaint just by making a phone call ? I also got a letter that the claim amount shall be sent within a week but all in vain. On further follow-up last week, no one picked up call at Iffco Tokio claim office +[protected]number conveyed by the surveyor). On regular follow-up, I was told once that the check was sent thru speed post tracking number ED[protected]IN . When I tracked on Indian Post website that says that the is delivered on 02-Dec-13 (status at Gurgaon South City II S.O) but I didn't receive any parcel. I launched complaint on Indisn Post site also with complain number[protected] on 03-Dec-13 but that also remain unanswered. Today when I again customer care, they are not able to provide any detail again (saying its Sunday). Now I have been assured by the customer care executive Mr. Navneet Singh (who refused to give me any of his direct contact details / e-mail) that he shall call me back tomorrow. I would request to - 1. Help me getting the claim amount immediately as I am having tight cash flow situation 2. Inquire Iffco Tokio that why and how they can close a complaint on a basis of an assurance when actually the complaint not been closed. Thanks and regards Akhilesh Agarwal akhil.[protected]@gmail.com
