Indeed India Operation Private Limited — Job fraud

I was contacted on January 9, 2024, by M/S Ankita Gupta, who claimed to be
from Indeed India Operation Private Limited HYDERABAD. She informed me
about a job vacancy at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India in Paradeep, ODISHA,
for a mechanical engineering position. On the same day, Ms. Gupta requested
an interview processing fee of Rs 2000, which I paid, leading to the shortlisting
of my resume. Subsequently, I received an interview call letter from Robin Patel
on January 11, claiming association with ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India and
Indeed Hyderabad office he is in contact with Ankita Gupta . The interview,
conducted by Mr. Robin Patel on January 12, resulted in a job offer, and I was
instructed to pay 50% of my first month salary (Rs 31, 700), which I promptly
paid. Additional payments were demanded on January 13, totaling Rs 56, 700
for gate pass, safety kit, and more, under pressure from Ankita Gupta. Despite
payments, I never received the promised items or job. Contacting ArcelorMittal
Nippon Steel India on January 24 revealed the deception, confirmed by their
response on January 25. Despite revealing the fraud, attempts to obtain a
refund from Ms. Gupta, Mr. Maurya, and Mr. Kumar were met with demands for
an additional Rs 16, 000 as cancellation charges. To date, no refund has been
received. I have attached relevant documents as proof and urge prompt
investigation and action against those involved in this scam. Ankita Gupta took
payments from me on behalf of AMNS INDIA
