I got a call on 31/05/2021 by this number +91 [protected], claiming to be army personnel, he told me about my property that I have posted on 99acres for rent, he asked me to send some pictures on WhatsApp, I did and then he agreed to pay the rent as I have mentioned on 99acres, he sent me Aadhar card and Army canteen card, he said he has been transferred to Ahmedabad (shahibaug) and will resume his duty within a week and would pay the rent and security in advance now itself on google pay, I said I'll have to talk to my father first and then will let you know, within that time i got a call from someone saying the same thing that he has been transferred to Ahmedabad and want to rent my house without even seeing the pictures of the house, i said it's occupied now, then after talking to my father we called him and we agreed, he asked me to send the google pay number and he will go to office insome time and will transfer all the money by today itself, then i got a call after 30 mins, he told me to send the screenshot of my account where the balance is mentioned, I did, he said he needs the account with at least 10k, he said the army account is premium and for transfer they need at least 10k in account, I sent screenshot from my fathers account and then I got a call from some other number he said he is a major, and confirmed the mobile number and then requested 5RS from my account, I said why do you want this he said just to confirm, I said I'm confirming you on call that i have received the request, now you transfer the amount, then he requested like we have to do this and trust us, I said you are a fraud and I'm going to file a complaint against both of you.

Beware of Fraudsters in the disguise fake army officers

I posted an advertisement related to a flat for Rent, I got a call next at 8.30 Am itself that the person named vikash patel from Dehradun got transferred and asked for the pics, immediately I got a call from the person named Saurabh Mishra with the same message and requested for pics, I shared and I got a call in the afternoon to send the number so that he will pay the entire amount by Gpay, i conveyed the message to my husband and relatively got doubt whether army officers have got transferred at a stretch and the person immediately sent the Aadharcard, Army ration card and his identity which again cleared the doubt. It's a huge scam happening on the website as they are destroying the name of Army officers. The moment we heard that they are from the army, we have huge respect for army officers, using their profile and their job is outrightly damaging their pride. I request the concerned website should take immediate action against these fraudsters.
To my wonder all the army officers speak only Hindi

I also received call from the same name Surabh Mishra also called from the phone +91 [protected] with ID proof, Working for Indian Army National Disaster Response Force and needs to move to Chennai urgently. Interested for rent, without even seeing the house and ready to pay advance immediately . However due to army special procedure He asked me to transfer Rs`1 to his account and share the screenshot. At that moment I searched his name and luckily this post helped me to escape from this fraud.

With similarly story one more guy named Avdhesh Kumar also called from phone +91 [protected]. It looks the gang is big and many innocent who respect Indian Army may loose their money with this fraud people.

Even I recieved same call upon my post on 99 acres. I got 3 calls back to back saying that they want to shift to the city where my property is posted. without even looking at the pictures of the house, the guys were ready to pay the advance/rent.. I think this is a big fraudster gang!

Have a similar incident to narrate, a man named Jithendra Zope claiming to be an army man tried to dupe us . Another man named as Surabh Mishra again claiming to be from army approached us within 24 hours after posting on 99 acres. Thankfully I googled the names without much difficulty I understood it's a fraud. Mr. Zope has sent me certain identity cards pertaining to the army . As I understood Zope's fraud I tried to grill Mr. Mishra, he disconnected the call. Kindly be aware of such scams. I am attaching certain id proofs he sent me . Fraudsters are now using army identities to gain trust .

I lost 1 lac rupees yesterday in 'Indian Army Fraud' on 99acres.
The guy posed as interested in my flat for rent in Bangalore and said I have to deposit money in 'Army Merchant Account' and it works as reverse transaction !
I was fooled.
This guy posed as 'Avdhesh Kumar' and sent two accounts one in HDFC Faridkot and another in Federal Bank in Faridabad.
Here is his phone number : +[protected]
The other guy who said he is the 'Captain' in the regiment - Jora Singh has phone number +[protected].
Please take action against the individuals.
This is a multi-million dollar fraud and nobody is stopping and 99acres is just enabling them.
They need to be sued for not warning owners posting advertisements.
I got duped thinking I should be doing good for the Indian Army.
I Googled about the fraud later and I saw all the messages and this individual's name has been listed by several people.
Indian Army should take action. It is bringing bad name for the organization !
