Another one claiming to be an army personel duping people in Bnagalore. [protected].
You cannot just block these people. They will have multiple phone numbers and accounts. Its very easy to create profiles in OLX. Make it mandatory to upload "Selfie" and "aadhar card" while creating an account. Also, forward all complaints to the local PS to make sure these instances are not repeated.

I Have Lost 73100 ₹ from OLX Army Fraud.
ऐसे व्यक्ति पता नहीं इंडियन आर्मी में है या नहीं है परंतु यदि नहीं भी है तो ऐसे Case इसमें आर्मी वालों को खुद ही इन्वेस्टीगेशन करनी चाहिए जिससे कि आम नागरिकों को राहत मिले और इंडियन आर्मी का नाम खराब करने वालों को सजा मिल सके। आम नागरिक इंडियन आर्मी के नाम से व्यक्ति भरोसा जरूर करता है परंतु यदि इंडियन आर्मी के नाम से कोई फ्रॉड कर रहा है तो यह सबसे बड़ा गुनाह है

[protected]. This is the number of Army man. He said he want to sell his car. Asked me for 30000/-. For gate pass I paid 2150/- and again asked me to send 5150/_ I paid . He said again to send 11100/- that also I paid. Total 18400/- paid. Now asking me to send 14500/-. I said I can't pay. He blocked my number.

On 3rd July, I saw an Ad on OLX from Mirza Ghalib Street, Kolkata for TVS nTorq 125 scooter 2019 purchased with mobile no.(Nivas Kumar Rai - [protected]) pasted on top of the scooter's picture for INR 17800. And I called on that number. He said, he is from the Indian Army and has been transferred to another location. So he is selling his wife's scooter.

Vehicle registration No - WB06R7282 (in the name of Sushmita Das)

I believed in his story of transferring INR 1500 as a token to the below account:

Amount transferred - 1500(through NEFT on 3rd July), 1500( through IMPS on 4th July).

Then I did the same on 3rd July, he(Nivas Kumar Rai) said, he did not get the amount and asked me to send again, which I did send on 4th July after telling him multiple times that it has been sent to his account with notification.

Then he said, the courier boy will send the courier by this evening and gave the courier boy's number - Rajesh Rathore ([protected]). This guy asked me to send GST amount for clearance of the scooter which was INR 5150. I told him I will send it when you take the scooter to my address, but he said it can be deducted from the main amount of INR 17800.

The account he gave is below and asked me to send INR 5150 which I did:

Amount transferred - INR 5150(through IMPS on 4th July)

Once I sent this amount, he said, I had to send it at a time and I have to send it again to this account:

But I asked him to share some document of the scooter and some ID. They did not say anything and stopped picking the call.

Please keep this complaint and put in place some indicators to find fraud mobile numbers so that genuine customers on OLX can be saved. Also please enhance your customer safety to alarm them by identifying fraud/sammer available on website through their mobile number.
