Indian Army — Person pretending to be from Indian army contacted me on housing.com for accommodation

I was contacted by Mr Avadhesh Kumar via Whatsapp with respect to rental property listed on housing.com. He pretended to be from Indian Army and is immediately been transferred to Pune. He provided all fake id proof including PAN, Aadhaar, Army Canteen card and his pictures to prove he is genuinely interested to rent out my property. On agreeing to his offer of rent and security deposit, he requested for my Google Pay or Phone Pe Id for immediate first month rent transfer and seal the deal. Given I was in no rush to let out my property, I asked him to first visit personally and then he can proceed with agreement. He was adamant and wanted to proceed with deal anyways as he needed it from the very first day of his visit to Pune.
His behaviour was suspicious so I insisted him to do NEFT transaction instead of Google Pay or Phone Pe. He agreed and mentioned his commander from Company Office will reach out and do the payment on his behalf. Within next 5 mins, I receive a Whatsapp call in name of Company Office (profile pic of Indian Army and slogan as status). This person requested my bank details and also asked to add his bank details (siting this as requirement for fund transfer from Army office). I gave him my account details for fund transfer and in parallel started checking for validity of both the person and their contact details on TrueCaller only to
find perfect match. By this time, I had uncovered various news articles and complaints regarding fraud people pretending to be from Indian Army and pretty much expected what is going to be uncovered next. After abt 4hrs (as I said his account will be activated as beneficiary only after 4hrs), Company office again calls to confirm account activation. I pretended that account is activated and I m following his step (obviously I was not). He first requested to do fund transfer of Re 1/- under his step-by-step guidance and on final step he again confirms, did u press send? To which I replied yes and immediately 2 Re.1/- credit transaction was done on my account via Google Pay, 1st Re.1/- transaction to balance out debit of Re 1/- on my end and 2nd Re 1/- to show that my actions actually credited Re 1/- to my account and not his account (so called army process). Later he asked to proceed with transaction of security deposit and rent of Rs 70K/- to which I replied my bank doesnt allow more than Rs 20K transfer within first 24hrs of activation. He, totally unaware that his fraud is been already caught, requested to do Rs 19999/- (as Re1/- is already done) and rest can be done the next day. At this point I said that your true identity is already known to me and I m about to file complaint with police, to which he arrogantly said, "If you knew all the time then why you asked me to do Re 1/- transaction" and hung up on me.
He was more worried about Re 1/- transaction and not concerned about police complaint when he is been stealing thousands and lakhs of hard earned money from other innocent people. I ended up getting some food for a needy from his Rs 2/- transaction (plus topped it up from my end).
Its a shame that the pride of our nation is used and humiliated by these fraudsters.
