Indian Army — Spam using the Indian Army name

I have been contacted by someone claiming he is from Indian Army and is shifting to Mumbai. he sent me whatsapp pics of his ID and family. i initially wanted to rent the flat to him considering he is working for indian army. Later when i understood his intentions since he asked to talk to his major who does sound like a major who informed me that payment will be done through Army card. I understood its spam and as soon i said them you guys are trying to spam me, i see all the messages was cleared in the whatsapp. Crime cell needs to take strict actions against those misusing the name of indian army and spamming the citizens.
