[Resolved] Intellipaat — Educational Institute fleecing students | |||
Hi Sir/Madam, My name is Mohit Sharma, and currently based in Bangalore. I had registered for few online courses with an institute called Intellipaat. I had registered for around 4 on-line courses, and spent nearly 37000 Rs on these courses. Suddenly this Sunday they blocked my access to these courses telling that I have used 15 IPs to access these courses. Any person with little networking knowledge knows that any Internet Service Provider (ISP) gives the option of DHCP only, where IP can get changed. Very few persons can afford static IPs. I have lost my 37000 Rs also (which is a very big amount), and no access to the courses. Please help me out of this situation. Please let me know if you need more information. Intellipaat customer care service did everything in their power to resolve this complaint. All attempts to contact the complaint author have failed. Therefore, this complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where company image and it's services are concerned. | |||

The "multiple locations" that this intellipaat support person is harping about is just home and office. I am not an incarnation of god who can access your site from 15-20 locations. The thing is that this institute is facing stiff competition from other reputed institutes like edureka, jigsaw and other MOOC training courses like udemy and hence resorting to such malpractices

Hi Mohit,
I do understand the problem which you faced but I discussed with my support team that you tried to access the course from multiple IP's which looks like an unofficial activity. I know that IP's gets changed when you restart the modem but we traced that you tried to access the course from multiple locations and if you say that you only restart the modem then it's not possible that IP's will changed 15-20 times.
So just stop bragging and complaining as we will be taking strict actions against any illegal activity such as yours.

We have more than 2.5 lakh learner learning on our platform why there is only you see such problem, why this use case was so special only for you. We have found serious issues hence due to security breach it has been stopped. If this is generic problem than at least out of 2.5 lakh learner someone more has faced the same. One more thing about competition you talk about if we are facing high competition from your point of view what is benefit of doing such malpractice as anytime we will not be giving access to you for our courses. I would better suggest you instead of involving yourself in cheating better focus on learning that will help for good career growth. All the best for your career
As he said he is using the office system. It may be possible that when he connects to VPN it is located in a different location. It happens to me that out office servers are in different countries and we get connected to different servers. That could be the reason he is having different locations. Intellipaat should have spoken to him before blocking him. One of the reason for taking online course is flexibility of moving around the planet or via different networks. It is rude of Intellipaat.
This is a fake person and defaming our services. If this person is real then should write his real name, email id and phone to have a call.
