On 27-Aug-2026, I purchased an HP VICTUS laptop (Serial: CND3480WBJ) for ₹84, 500 from IT ZONE, Nehru Place, New Delhi with invoice no.[protected]/202.
The seller claimed this was a brand new laptop with 1-year warranty. However, when I contacted HP support, they officially confirmed this is a REFURBISHED laptop, NOT NEW.
HP's warranty records show:
- Warranty started: 22-Dec-2023 (NOT 27-Aug-2026)
- Original warranty expired: 21-Dec-2024
- This proves the laptop is 2.5 years old, not new
The seller committed fraud by:
1. Selling refurbished laptop as new at new price (₹84, 500)
2. False invoice with fake purchase date (27-Aug-2026)
3. False warranty claim (1-year warranty)
4. Concealing the laptop's actual age and refurbished status
I demand:
- Full refund: ₹84, 500
- Compensation for fraud: ₹20, 000
- Legal notice costs: ₹5, 000
Total: ₹1, 09, 500
