I am writing to raise a concern regarding Jamshedpur Public School, located in New Baridih, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The condition of the classrooms in terms of basic ventilation and cooling is extremely poor. Most classrooms have very few ceiling fans, and the ones that are installed run at very low speed or are often non-functional.

In the extreme heat and humidity, this creates an unbearable learning environment for students, causing discomfort and lack of focus. Despite this, the school continues to collect monthly infrastructure and maintenance fees from parents.

If the school is unable to provide even the most basic facilities like functioning ceiling fans, it should not charge maintenance fees. Students are being forced to study in suffocating and unhealthy conditions, which can affect their health and academic performance.

We request the concerned authorities to:

Inspect the classrooms and verify the condition and number of working fans

Direct the school to immediately install sufficient, high-speed ceiling fans in all classrooms

Take action against the school for charging monthly fees without maintaining basic infrastructure

Ensure regular monitoring so that such issues do not continue unchecked

Students deserve a comfortable and safe environment to study. The current situation is not acceptable and needs immediate correction.
