Hello,
My father was admitted to Jayadeva Hospital Bangalore for Heart related ailment and he was operated for angioplasty on October 2014. After one month of operation he fell very ill and stated getting pain in the chest. When we visited Jayadeva hospital on November, Doctors who operated him said there was an infection in the heart and did not specify the reason. Later we shifted my father to Narayana Hrudayalaya (Electronic city) Bangalore. After more diagnosis Doctors said there is an infection in the heart due to bacterial growth which mainly occurs during negligence during operations by doctors because of cleanliness and Sanitation issues.
Later we called up doctors in Jayadeva Hospital who operated my father for Angioplasty and handed them the diagnosis report provided by Narayana Hrudayalaya. Doctor from Jayadeva hopsital agreed to the point that it was mistake from their end and bacterial infection is caused during their Angioplasty operation. Later we spent almost 12-14 Lakhs for the Bipass surgery but it was not successful. We lost our father on Dec 2014. We were drained mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. My younger brother has to drop his examination because of the incident and was depressed for almost 3 years.
What kind of action can be taken for these kind of incidents. This is totally unacceptable for a Hospital which has good name in Bangalore to commit such a crime.
Thanks,
