This is a serious complaint against Jigsaw especially the salesperson Mr. Shashank K M (Shashank.[protected]@jigsawacademy.com | [protected] for fraud and looting of money in the name of providing the joint Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Product Management (PGCP-PP) with IIM Indore, batch 6 - 2022. A case of bluffing by salesperson and making us enroll for the course with all false promises.
This guy called me on 8th March 2022 regarding this course and started explaining to me the course details as I have checked it on Google and shown interest in the course because of the name of IIM and my interest in the Product Management certification.
Right from the start, this guy was so polite and gave ample time in sharing all information (typical salesperson) about the course which eventually turned out to be all fake information. I was pushed to join as early as I can and he ensured to give all calls when I was in my office so that I cannot pay a lot of attention to detail. Since he was polite, I went ahead and enrolled with whatever information he shared with me. I’m listing down the promises he shared with me regarding the course which were all fake and I came to know about it during the kick-off session on 12th March 2022.
1. I was told that there is a scholarship option in the course and that the last two seats are available for availing it. If I succeed in availing it (basis the psychometric test and personal interview), I can get a scholarship of 40, 000 INR. I gave the two rounds and thereafter I was informed over the phone verbally by this guy within a few hours that I have got the scholarship and my total fees for the Programme have come down from 3.23 lacs to 2.83 lacs.
2. He told me to pay an admission fee of 1000 INR (non-refundable) and an enrollment fee of 30000 INR (refundable) to get the offer letter and to attend the kick-off session on 12th March.
3. I can avail financial assistance from their partners with zero interest on EMI for 24 months and will have to pay just 2 % of processing fees.
4. The batch size would be a maximum of 55-60 students.
5. The entire faculty (100%) would be from IIM Indore.
6. I would get placement assistance and IIM Alumni status for life after completing the course.
When I joined the kick-off session on 12th March 2022 after enrolling in the Programme, I found every promise that he made was false which I’m jotting down below.
1. This information about getting the scholarship was never shared on email with me. Plus, this scholarship option was never there as I heard from many of the students. The total fees for the Programme were itself 2.83 lacs and not 3.23 lacs as were communicated by the sales guy.
2. The enrollment fee of 30000 INR was also non-refundable which was also written on the offer letter which I didn’t see earlier as I believed in his wordings. Now, when I’m asking him to refund, he is denying that he said that and asks me to refer to the wording of the offer letter. This offer letter I got only after I have made the payment and so anything written on it doesn’t matter and justify to what was said earlier during the sales session. I took it because that was what was said to me otherwise, I wouldn’t have risked my 30000 INR.
3. When I spoke with the financial partner, he told me that the zero interest would be for 24 months but then the processing fee would be 2.8 % and not 2 %. If I want 2 % then the tenure would be for 21 months.
4. The batch size was having 120 students which I could see during the kick-off session. Every student was angry and kept their point during the discussion that day on 12th March. I have recorded a few excerpts from the session and attaching them here for your reference. There was total chaos in the meeting.
5. It was disclosed during the meeting that the session would be taken by 50 % IIM professors and 50 % by outside faculty.
6. Placement assistance and IIM Alumni status would be added costs and that too on a yearly subscription basis.
I’m not at all happy with the course and I would not like to pursue anymore this course whose set-up was basis false commitments. I want my 30000 INR to be refunded back to me which they are denying now.
I would request the Consumer Complaints team to investigate this and help me to get my hard-earned 30, 000 INR from Jigsaw Academy. I went for a course in which I feel my study rights, feelings, emotions, and trust have been hurt by the learning partner- Jigsaw. They have also derailed the image of IIM Indore in my eyes by doing this. The sales guy isn’t picking up the call now and even if he does, he just says to wait for some more days and the senior guy Mr. Balaji will call and justify. I don’t want to go into all those stuff and just want my 30, 000 INR to be refunded back by Jigsaw.
