Details of your appointment are as follows: APPOINTMENT POSITION: Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician. SALARY INDICATION: You are eligible to receive Gross Monthly Salary o[censored]SD $6,500 (Six Thousand Five Hundred United States Dollars only). Monthly/Take-Home (After tax), Sterling or Euros equivalent depending on home country and currency of preference. WORKING HOURS/ DAYS OFF/ PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: Working hours - 7 hours (including meal time) working time - 10 AM - 5 PM. Working days - Monday – Friday UPFRONT PAYMENT OF SALARY: The first monthly salary shall be paid in advance before expatriates embark on journey to assume duty. This is to enable expatriates settle all domestic needs before travel. As such no excuses will be entertained on assumption of duty relating to default. Employee (Expatriate) is to note that 1 MONTH UPFRONT SALARY is to be paid as soon as we see evidence that the employee have Processed and Procured the relevant Visa and Working/ Resident Permit Documents and submit same to the company for Verification. Employee is strongly advised to keep original receipts of expenses and evidence of payment(s) made before arrival in Malaysia as reimbursement applications made without receipt or evidence of payment/expenses shall be denied. All payment of Salary after assumption of duty in MALAYSIA shall be 75% paid into an offshore account to be provided by employee with the remaining 25% paid locally in MALAYSIA. This is in line with the MALAYSIA Expatriate Financial Statutory Laws.
CONTRACT AGREEMENT / APPOINTMENT LETTER
FEEDING & ACCOMMODATION: All Employees are expected to reside at the Company’s Staff estate. There are Single Bed-room and Flat options for Employees to choose from. Employees are entitled to take meals free of charge at the General Staff canteens. Dietary options, Customized cooks and Dieticians are available options. I further understand that I will not be terminated involuntarily at will, rather it will be with cause or prior notice, at any time, regarding of documents or oral or written statements issued by the PETRONAS OIL COMPANY or its representative. Any employee company feels that his/her services are no longer needed, shall be paid a disengagement allowance equivalent to the annual salary of the employee. Notice period in case of leaving the job is one Month and it shall be communicated to the Management through writing. Orientation Program: Candidates are advise to arrive a week before job commencement date in order to attend the orientation seminar. Note that there will not be further interview as your appointment is basically on the information which you have provided on your resume you earlier on forwarded to us before screening. There will be a routine check of your credentials on arrival by the Human Resources Department to confirm validity. Job Description: Your job profile will be duly stated on your compulsory two weeks orientation training/program which will equip you with the basic knowledge of the project at hand and familiarize you with the equipments at your disposal. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS: Five Bedroom Flat Duplex, 30 Days Leave / break/ Vacation after every 90 working days, Flight Fares (Air Tickets), Free Education Scheme for expatriate’s children/family, Complete meals also for you and your family as deemed Appropriate, Access to some of the finest social and recreational facilities and Personal effects shipment and excess baggage allowances, Monthly Spouse allowance of $2,500 USD. Employer will provide the employee with comprehensive Health care for the term of contract, and follow-on care for injuries suffered during the term of contract for employee and family. Computer resources: Laptop Computer, 1.6 GHz Processor, 256 MB RAM, 24XCD-RW, 30GB Hard Drive, Floppy Drive, Integrated Network Adapter, Internal 56K Modem, Spare Battery and Necessary Software. Full time Internet access is also made available. Phones: Employer will provide each employee with one (1) landline and one (1) Smart phone. This shall have a reasonable credit limit application per month. Cars: Employer will provide an official car TOYOTA COROLLA 2012 for Senior/Chief Staffs. Also there shall always be a standby Air Conditioned Coaster Bus to transport ordinary staffs from the Company’s Estate to work Metropolis. Performance Bonuses: Up to five percent of your annual net salary, paid quarterly by your choice of cheque or direct deposit. SAFETY & SECURITY: Safety and Security of personnel (Local/Foreign) and Facilities on Job Locations and communities are no small issues, and have been seriously considered to ensure and assure hitch free operations. All operations on Job Location are designed to adhere strictly to the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy as applicable in the Oil and Gas Sector. All expatriates are entitled to a free and mandatory safety courses on Job Locations to be delivered by qualified safety and environment experts. All safety wears shall be provided by the Company at Job Locations such like Safety Coveralls, Gloves, Goggles, Helmet and Safety Shoes etc. as applicable in the Oil & Gas Sector.
TELECOMMUNICATION/ INTERNET FACILITIES: There are standard Telecommunication Facilities and Internet services at the disposal of all expatriates, and same shall be accessible to all Personnel (Local/Foreign) without any charge or expenses to be incurred. Cellular Phones can be obtained by expatriates from the Local dealers/Service Providers in Work Metropolis but must be used in accordance with the safety regulations on Job Locations. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Recreational/Sports Facilities shall also be made available at the disposal of all expatriates with no expenses to be incurred. Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service will also be made available to all Expatriates by the company’s laundry and dry cleaning unit. JOB LOCATION: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Branch. CONTRACT DURATION/ PERIOD: 48Months (4 Years). RESUME/START UP DATE: You are expected to resume on site latest 14th June, 2013. The management reserves the right to extend this period if necessary. Herein, you have been forwarded employers’ prototype of contract terms and conditions via e-mail (Attachment) for your perusal and digest. On your satisfaction and agreement with the terms and conditions of your appointment, you shall be expected to start processing of your job. After processing, hard copy of the contract document shall be sent to you for your kind endorsement. Agreements will also be signed during the job processes. JOB PROCEESSING/REQUIREMENTS: All employees successfully screened and recruited to resume employment at this new (PETRONAS OIL COMPANY) shall have Valid Malaysia Visa and Residence/ Work Permits Clearance Papers. EMPLOYEE EXPENSES: EMPLOYEE/EXPATRIATE SHALL BE EXPECTED TO PERSONALLY INCUR ONLY THE VISA AND RESIDENCE /WORK PERMITS REQUIREMENTS. Expenses made/incurred by the employee related to job before commencement of duties or Expenses made during travel Plans, Processing of travel Particulars etc will be substantiated with receipts and Employer will re-reimburse the Employee not later than Five (5) working days after submission of Employee’s expense Report and Receipts as proofs of such Expenses. Employer however agrees to reimburse fully all Travel costs and Expenses made by Employee. The agreement hereby binds Employer and Employee in that re-reimbursement will be made fully to Employees upon presentation of Expenses Report and Receipts of Expenses. “On no account will Employer accept to shoulder costs for Travel Expenses, Processing of Work/ Resident Permit Papers of Employee before Work sign-on. This is to possibly evade losses that may be accrued to Employer should Employee decide to decline Job Offer after certain Expenses must have been made by Employer.” The agreement hereby binds Employer and Employee in that re-reimbursement will be made fully to Employees upon presentation of Expenses Report and Receipts of Expenses. DOCUMENTS PROCESSING VISA AND WORK/ RESIDENCE PERMIT The Employee is requested to contact the below office which is responsible for the processing of his or her Valid Malaysia Visa and Working/Residence Permit and forward same to the HR of POCM after processing for verification, authentication and confirmation as we have agreement with them for easiest acquisition of employees necessary valid traveling documents that will empower you to successfully live and work in Malaysia. Hence any expenses incurred during this process shall be refunded to the candidate in not more than 5 working days of resuming with us.
