Jubliant Motors — Car service and maintenance cost

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the overall experience I have had with Jubilant Motors, both during and after the purchase of my electric vehicle (EV).

At the time of purchase, the sales team made it very clear that the maintenance of the EV would be significantly cheaper than that of petrol or diesel (ICE) vehicles. However, this claim has proven to be entirely misleading. Recently, I was charged approximately ₹10, 000 for a basic service that included:

Paid service charges

Filter replacement

Wheel alignment

Front and rear disc skimming

This amount did not include any car wash or shampooing. Furthermore, I was informed that any additional services would incur extra charges.

When comparing these service costs to that of a conventional ICE vehicle, I find there is only a marginal difference, contradicting the initial claims made by your sales team. This clearly indicates that the maintenance cost advantage of EVs has been overstated.

I feel misled as a customer and believe this is not an isolated incident but part of a broader issue. Such misleading information during the sales process not only affects customer trust but also tarnishes the reputation of EV technology.

I urge your company and all EV manufacturers to be transparent and honest about maintenance expectations and service costs. Misrepresentation only harms consumer confidence in the long run.
