I hired Karan Thukral in 2019 to help me with a case I had pending with the NCDRC in New Delhi.
It was a case against a builder who kept trying to extort money from me before he handed over the property I paid him to build for me.
The Thukral Law firm took my money and then for the next three years did absolutely nothing with my case.
When I would call the office, they would never connect me with Karan Thukral. When I could call him directly he would hang up the phone on me.
My case kept getting tossed around their junior lawyers (interns) from Mr Kapil to Mr Avi Leuna, to Ms Neha to Ms Ashika.
By 2022 when the courts had re-opened again, I called the Thukral office once a week asking when my court date is. They never gave me an answer. I texted, I emailed, again no answer. I tried numerous time to contact the NCDRC, but there was never any response from them via email and when I called nobody would answer. Their online system was non-functional.
Finally in July 2022 after tremendous frustration I got Karan Thukral on the phone (for the first time in 3 years) and confronted him on this unprofessional treatment I had received for so long. He started a thirty (30) minute shouting match with me. Spewing at me the most vulgar profanity I have ever heard from a lawyer.
I then, no doubt decided to get my file back and transfer the case to another lawyer. This new lawyer checked the NCDRC records and told me that I had a court date at the NCDRC in June of 2022, but nobody from the Thukral law firm even attended it!
In August of 2022 when I went to collect all my documents from their office they only returned to be a few of the files I had originally given them in 2019. Numerous documents/files were missing and despite several attempts, they never gave me back all of my original documents. Most likely because Karan Thukral had cooperated with and taken a bribe from the other party that I filed the case against (Masood Hasan of Countryside Realtors). Filthy crooks.
Karan Thukral has no place in the legal profession, he should and must be disbarred. How many more innocent clients he will scam and treat like garbage before action is taken against him? I will report him to every bar council in India, Canada and the USA.
P.S. All the positive reviews on google for his law firm are fake. Written by Karan Thukral himself.

We can understand your frustration level which has forced you to make use of improper words. But as has been mentioned by you, the Courts only came back to its proper functioning in 2022. The time lag in your case is due to unnatural reasons which are out of even a lawyer’s hands and it is very little which one could do in such situations.
The Associates have always gone beyond their work, and counselled you time and again, when you called of desperation and bleakness. It is because of the very reason that a law firm retains a number of well qualified individuals, that a person chose to hire it and not a person acting in individual capacity. When different minds work together, it only brings out the best. So, be it Mr. Kapil or any other associate, everyone has always put their mind and heart to the case assigned to them.
It is strange that you have mentioned you called the office enquiring the next date in your case every week, when it was you, who had been receiving the updates directly from the Court on your phone number and email. The same can be verified from the fact that you only used to send us the updates on the next date of hearings over our official number.
You retained us after being agitated from your first lawyer, and since then you preferred to keep it that way and received the updates directly from the Court. Further, we do not deem this platform fit to display a proof of our professionalism.
Our clients who have been associated with us for more than a decade and an enormous number of matters handled by the office are proof in itself that we only work towards the best of our clients. Hence, it is a kind suggestion, to refrain from putting false allegations of bribery without any proof on a public platform.
Being lawyers, it is our duty to inform you that such behaviour attracts civil and criminal liability. As far as the positive reviews are concerned, that you feel are written by Mr. Thukral himself, we would like to differ. Being the head of the law firm, he barely is left with any time to deal with such petty matters let alone going through a hassle of creating a new identity and writing a fake review.
It is people who have ample time in hand who prefer to indulge themselves in such acts. Lastly, to spell it out, when you decided to discharge us from the case, you were returned the complete files that you asked for over the e-mail.
However, you never personally visited us. Mr. Bashir, your authorised representative, came to the office and collected everything on your behalf and in-fact verified every document. Since you have preferred to go in depth and specific details, a screenshot of the email received from your end along with the acknowledgment is attached below.
Recently also you emailed us again, and as earlier, we have shared with you whatever documents / file we retain in our records. We do not wish to hold any original documents of any of the clients as it is no use to us. We keep copies of all the documents for a limited time frame just for record purposes. We wish the best for a client in all aspects which includes you as well.
As earlier mentioned, in case you feel any document is left out, we have shared the scanned file, you can let us know and arrange for the collection of the same.
