Subject: Demand for Disclosure of Fraudulent Seller Details and Notice of Legal Action
Sir/Madam,
I, Parth, hereby issue this legal notice in connection with a fraudulent online transaction facilitated through your logistics services. On 12/12/2025, your delivery personnel delivered a parcel purportedly ordered through an e-commerce/YouTube shopping channel. Upon inspection, the product was found to be counterfeit, misrepresented, or otherwise fraudulent.
It is evident that Ekart Logistics played a crucial role in enabling the delivery of goods originating from a fraudulent seller. As a delivery partner involved in the transaction, you are required to ensure that the consignor’s identity and particulars are genuine and verifiable, in accordance with due diligence obligations under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable regulations governing e-commerce and logistics service providers.
Accordingly, you are hereby called upon to furnish the complete and verified details of the seller/consignor, including their full name, address, phone number, and any other contact information associated with the shipment, within seven (7) days from the receipt of this notice.
Please note that failure to provide the above information within the stipulated period will compel me to initiate appropriate legal proceedings—civil and criminal—against Ekart Logistics for negligence, facilitation of fraudulent activity, and failure to disclose essential information. Such action may include proceedings under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code including Sections 417 and 420, and any other applicable statutory provisions.
You are advised to treat this notice with utmost seriousness and comply without delay to avoid further legal consequences.
