Karthik Ramu travels is one of the shi**iest travel agency!! I boarded the bus on 08/14/2015 from Alandur to Kumbakonam. This bus was followed by another Karthik Ramu travels' bus.
Everything was ok till Tambaram. Then, on seeing the huge traffic piled up in the Perungalathur flyover, a guy from the travels (his name was Ramu, not sure if he is the Ramu of the Karthik Ramu) forced the driver to take the wrong route!! YES. the bus crossed the flyover in wrong route. We missed like, 15 major collisions!! the way they did it, it looks like these guys do this wrong side trick frequently!! The women of my bus's driver's family were verbally abused by every driver of the incoming traffic!!! By the time we reached Perungalathur, Traffic cops saw the buses and got pissed off and levied a fine of 3500 bucks.. and an argument was going on and 30 minutes wasted!! then finally the buses took off to stop at a Petrol bunk in Vandalur Kelambakkam road!! another 20 mins wasted!!
Sleep caught me and I had a nap and woke up in sometime as the bus was not moving.. we found that these bunch of idi0ts, wanted to save some money by avoiding toll and took a detour, ended up in middle of nowhere!! we were lost!! then got some directions and started moving. another 1 hour wasted!!! we hoped this was the last stoppage!! no it wasnt!! the 2nd bus got a flat tyre!!! and both the came to a stop for another 30 mins!! it took a 10 hour journey to reach kumbakonam!! with bad seats, exorbitant ticket rate and worst service!!
