I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the service provided for my Kelvinator Split AC, 1 TON, Model No. KAS-X12301B, which I purchased on 13th March 2021. The original bill is available for reference.
On 10th August, I registered a service call due to an issue with the AC unit. Upon inspection, it was determined that the PCB needs to be replaced. According to the warranty terms for this model, the PCB should be covered under a 5-year warranty, while the compressor has a 10-year warranty.
However, the service agent informed me that the PCB replacement would be chargeable and not covered under the warranty. This statement was further confirmed by the Service Manager, Mr. Vivek Sharma, who mentioned that the 5-year PCB warranty started in 2023.
I request a proper explanation and supporting documentation to clarify that the warranty for the PCB started in 2023, despite the AC being purchased in 2021. As per the standard terms of purchase and the information provided at the time of purchase, the PCB should be covered under the warranty.
In the absence of a clear and satisfactory explanation, I kindly urge you to expedite the resolution of this complaint by honoring the warranty and replacing the PCB at no additional cost.
I look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution to this matter.
