I am writing this mail with a lot of anguish since I bought my most favorite car in Nov 2021.
Lavanya Vasudevan is the owner of the above-mentioned car and I am her husband who uses the car. I am very proud of Jeep and has been advocating this to all known people who are looking to buy an SUV. In fact, i have asked them to take a test ride using my vehicle.
Everything was well until i faced (am facing) a harrowing experience for the last 2 months. I had a issue with my AC not functioning properly and had taken my vehicle to KHT Motors Whitefield centre. This is on 7th of December 2024 and today is 6th Feb 2025 and I HAVE STILL NOT GOT MY CAR BACK.
This is the place where i get my regular services done too. They identified that the issue was related to rat bite and the harness wires have to be replaced and it would take a month.
I understood and did not disturb them until the said date but i never got any updates from them thereafter. I started to call up and was given more than 1 service advisors whom they promised that would provide with an update. But that never happened and i had to call them everytime.
The standard answer i got was 'we are waiting for the parts'.
I visited the showroom and also spoke to one of the Managers who promised that he will speed up things and asked one of the service manager to keep me updated. The answer was same.
I raised a complaint with Jeep India. I did have a couple of people calling and providing the reassurance. As per their confirmation, the parts were delivered on 28th January and I was told that it would take 2 days to assemble.
Now, looks like there is a different story and it has been almost 10 days since the parts were received but vehicle is still not delivered. I have lost hope that i will get it sooner anytime now.
In the last 2 months, i had to struggle without a vehicle and the amount i have spent on cabs, needless to state.
Apart from commuting to office everyday, i had to take my age old parents to hospitals for regular check up and surgery in a cab.
Missed out to couple of outstation visits as I cannot transport them in private vehicles.
I have now come to a conclusion that all is well with Jeep until a rat bites the wires, the service centre is either clueless or there is complete lack of spare parts available with Jeep India for managing such cases.
There is a limit to one's patience and I have crossed it.
How are you going to compensate the ~₹20k i have spent on commutation and the frustrating experience i have had without a vehicle. I hope you can understand how difficult it is to manage in a city like Bangalore
Irony is, i have still not my vehicle as i pen this mail to you.
Not sure if this would be read or actioned at all, but wanted to vent out my ire. i have controlled myself to post it on social media, hoping that some action will be taken on this. i did not have to pay ~₹27L to have this kind of experience!!!
regards
Venkat
