Kims Hospital , Kottayam, Kerala — Poor Patient Management

We had a recent bad experince with KIMS Hopsital Kottayam, India Although they have good wards & room, but what they lack is Doctors with lack of commitment & good Clinical skill. Our mother was hospitalised on a evening with complaints of Vomiting & abdomen pain, the first two days they focused more on ECG, ECHO to check the heart & also lungs, The 2nd day of hospitalisation in the late evening our mother had bilious vomiting. The Drs. at this juncture didn't show their clinical knowledge & they acted on 3rd day by taking a ultrasound & then CT for checking Intestine obstruction. Infact, they should have realised this on the 2nd day. During CT our mother had vomitted & aspirated which further caused compliaction of low BP & lead to cardiac arrest. She was moved to ICU & put on ventilators. With in 24hours she passed away on 25th March at KIMS Hospital, Kottayam, Kerala. Had the Drs. taken seriosuly the bilious vomiting & decongested the abdomen, at the same time, she could have been saved. Infact, the Drs. didn't event notice that she aspirated & was gassping during CT. We doubt the Drs. were too late in realising that our Mother suffered Cardiac Arrest. Infact, from the CT room they moved our Mother to ward/room and probably this was the time after shifting to the ward/room Drs. checked for our mothers Vital Signs and realised some thing is wrong & then immediately shifted to ICU with a crash call & then CPR .We were cpmmunicated by Drs. that Cardiac Arrest happened in CT Room, If this is true, then why they brought our mother to the ward/room instead of taking her to ICU directly from CT room. Total lack of commitments & empathjy from Drs. We wish we could have taken our mother to another Hospital, the things would have been different today.
