Well, with respect to the above person, I must say every person has his/her own opinion about their college where the pursued their graduation.
Every company or organization has its own marketing strategies.
" They market the college in such a way that it is equal to the No. 1 college in india." but then this above comment shows that even after studying for 3 years you haven't read the student hand book. The college states and is a true fact that kodaikanal christian college is India's foremost charismatic Christian institution with its own clear values, mission and vision.
For me and many other students who have completed thier education successfully here, it pains to read such above comments. KCC to me has been providing students with the opportunity to retreat, study, and focus on their education.
Through the extra curricular activities, I was able to discover something that was hidden within me. It helped me to bring out my talents and fine tune it to such a great extend that now i can speak/ give a lecture in any stage. I can debate with anyone anywhere.
Academically if you see, its planned and implemented in such a way that both the brilliant and weaker students can perform in equal level. Almost 40% of the marks are totally given to the students by ways of assignments, quizzes, seminars and other.
I must say, this is one place where you can grow spiritually if you choose to. great speakers, pastors and choir leaders are being moulded here and is placed in different parts of the world by God's grace.
And I heard someone talking about DISCIPLINARY actions, I appreciate you for mentioning that. as long as anyone goes against any of the rules and regulations of any institution in and out of the country, they are bound to face the consequences. If you are for education you must get educated and attain knowledge rather than misconducts. the same is being followed at KCC. 98% of the students are moving out of the college without any actions being taken against them. I feel sorry for the rest 2 % because you reap what you sow lol.
and above all that, we are given a handbook which contains all the college norms, rules and regulations in which sign and hand over the last page to the college. this means that we are bound to follow them. And it is like any other college across the globe. you can go though that in the link below:

All of the faculties are M. Phil's and post graduates with NET qualifications. Mess food is above average. and yeah canteen is expensive, but in the end its your choice to opt for the canteen or not. Nobody is forcing you to go for that. YOUR CHOICE. don't blame others for the wrong choices you make in life. I appreciate that. Even though their were a lot of difficult situations within the campus, each and everything taught me how to handle different situations in life and trust me, today I can face any challenges and anyone out there. After all, in the end, its all your choice, the way you see things. In fact the freedom you get to be the true yourself, in KCC, I believe you will not get that anywhere else. God bless.

Come on man how can u call this a marketing technique??? I asked for the handbook even before joining the college but they didnt give me and they said they r printing a new one.
And the disciplinary actions, what i noticed was when u r in first year even i[censored] r caught for a drug case they wont dismiss u...2nd year the chance increases to 50-50 and 3rd year even for a small reason ur r highly prone to getting dismissed after u pay all ur salary.
There are better charismatic coleges with better education and prayer or whatevre u need in KErala or somewhr else.
And as the above mentioned person I was not caught for anythng and finished my education with good grades. And still after passing out we hate kcc and whomever we c we say them not to join KCC.
And as above mentioned person the teachers r not well qualified. Only few of them are well qualified. These previous years they hire faculties with less experience coz they just hv to pay them less. And the faculties join KCC because whn people c from outside it has a good repution. The thing is before the college being autonomous the college was good i should say. but after tht it worse.
I heard few of the juniors say tht kcc is about to get shut down within few years. Happy to hear tht.

As I write this review, I am tickled by the fact that the
highest reviews were mostly by ex-faculty. I think this alone would lead to a
realization of the utter ignorance of the teaching body hired by this awful
college. This forum is for end user rating and you, being the service provider,
cannot rate your experience as you are the ones being rated.


KCC's response was even more indicative of the strong arm
tactics that they are famous for, and I quote “We feel that someone who has
been punished for indiscipline has written negative comments about the
college. If the identity of the person
is revealed, the college can produce the necessary records." KCC you can
literally go [censored] yourself. How DARE you treat students like you own them and
used veiled threats on a consumer with a valid complaint?


Anyway, here is my breakdown of the response from KCC:


1) "KCC also does not desire any of its students
repeating a semester. Extreme cases of indiscipline cause such a situation. The
KCC student handbook categorically emphasizes discipline in every aspect of
student behavior and the same is enforced with all fairness. No partiality is
shown on any grounds". During my time at KCC "indiscipline"
could mean anything. It could also mean writing a review on a consumer forum,
telling a professor that swearing at you was wrong, pretty much anything that
marked you as a logical, thinking adult.
You could also be soundly thrashed by the Chairman, Sam Abraham if he
believed that you were being naughty. If the college was feeling particularly
resentful, they would also bar you from writing your degree examination. This,
however, did not apply to the band of religious nuts that frequent the Abraham
Hall and go on little brainwashing trips. My point is this : disciplinary action
must be reasonable and follow a format. A dictatorship will not last.


2) "The fee structure of KCC is published on the
website and it is less than the fees charged by schools in hill stations"
A wildly inaccurate use a COMPSET analysis (note to reviewing faculty: that
means a competitor set). If you would like to do an analysis of all Colleges in
hill stations in India or if you have already done so, please publish this
analysis on your website or refrain from making such sweeping statements. Another
indication of the utter ignorance of the college.


3) "Excess use of electricity in hostels is charged on
a dividing basis. The calculations done are transparent and are available to
any student". Examples of excessive use: Laptop, phone charger, water
heater. The calculations are transparent to the extent that they show how
transparently they cheat you. Installation of sub meters would lead to even
better understanding o[censored]tility consumption but they cost money.


4) "Hygienic vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is
served at the college mess" ...what can I say? This is an outright lie. It
is neither prepared nor served hygienically. Be very careful of the water.


5) "The college
provides students opportunities to play and excel in 16 different sports and
games. Students are encouraged to represent the college in University, State
and National level tournaments." Interesting use of truth by exception.
lol. Encouraged? yes, Trained? no. Need I say more?


6) "Eighteen students from KCC represented the University
in National Level Youth Parliament". Please do not be awed by this
statement. The Youth Parliament is a skit and actual debate and understanding
of the proceedings of the Lower House is far from present. Indicative


7) "Two students from KCC are selected to represent the
University in Republic Day Parade". Are you implying that they were only
selected because they were in KCC? Did you hold some sort of selection test?
Again KCC this is not a result of YOUR product superiority.


8) "KCC has been winning many prizes at the University
level Youth Fiesta. The accolades KCC students have received are too many to
mention" Madurai Kamaraj University is ranked 212 in 2015. This basically
means that the most of the students enrolled in the University struggle with
English. KCC does best in the “English speaking or writing” category. The
college has won no accolades in the key competitions or fests with reputed urban
universities.

I could go on all day. I would also ask the KCC management
to refrain from creating multiple id’s to post bogus comments. It is only
indicative of your sheer lack of confidence in your product.

My dear I don't know who u r...but let me tell u one thing u wrote about certificate u received is in tamil it doesn't matter whether the certificate is in tamil or English, all matter is what u learnt from this college and education won't take u to higher post until an unless u don't have experience so rather than blaming and cursing kcc, look at yourself and see faults. U also mentioned that right now u r in best college so u would have studied ur UG there itself. Stop making foolish comments and let me tell u before pointing out on Dr. Sam Abraham or anyone else, just have a look on ur other 4 finger which is pointing out on u. Tc stay blessed.
