My item is stuck at Kolkata customs too. It’s just personal documents. No commercial value. It says Customs Hold and AWAITING PRESENTATION TO BORDER AGENCY/S. Why hold documents? It’s now 4 days. I need it urgently. Why should it take this long to clear simple letters and documents? Why hold it in the first place? Please release it and deliver. It is EMS speed post and has been in transit for a month now. It is supposed to expedited 3-5 days. I have attached the screenshot.

Customs cleared it in a day, they said. It’s delay from postal. See update.

Updated by pjjj Update: I was able to contact local officer incharge of courier at Kolkata customs and he informed that Customs cleared it within a day. It’s the postal department delay, not customs.
