Kolkata Muncipal Corporation — Release of co gas by sweepers

We are ordinary residents of kolkata. In the morning hours there are KMC sweepers who are supposed to clean up the streets. But since there is lot of thrash especially leaves that have fallen off from trees. They collect it alongside the road as poles and instead of taking it to compactor stations they just choose to burn it away in flames. The same can often be seen as burning few feet high in flames. Mostly one can see so many burning on the road. Especially central kolkata areas such as camac street, lord sinha road, sarat Bose road, theatre road, etc.
It not only affects the nearby people walking on the road and residents. Its also dangerous for the city pollution as well. The gas released when burning green leaves is very dangerous as it is carbon monoxide. Moreover it can cause greater fire accidents too.
We have often tried and requested these sweepers to not to do this. But they won't listen and continue to do the same everyday.
