I got a YouTube ad for lingerie shopping and so I clicked on the ad the website was lacehut-1638.myshopify.com. I browsed and ordered a combo product from there on 30 July, 2022. Also there was no other option than COD. I received the package on 4 August, 2022 for Rs. 599, and I found the product to be different than from the original order. I tried reaching the website but it wasn't available then I searched for the no. of the website and I found a no. [protected]. I called the no, and they asked me about the product code after which they asked me to download the Ring app which is a credit app. they asked me to login that app, which I did and after logging in they asked me to delete the app, which I didn't due to my suspicion. They then sent me OTP for the Ring App twice which I told them but due to some issues they could not access it because of which they asked me to search on google Play Store for Refund and there no. of apps opened up...they particularly asked me to download the Anydesk App which gives access to any device. Due to my doubts I did not download it and told them I will get back with them a little later. I searched up for the customer care no. of Ring App and shared with them my whole ordeal and asked them to delete my Ring Account. I again got a call from them a little later where the spokesperson asked me to talk to his senior. They asked me to send a text message to another no. after which my complaint order will be proceeded and then I will get my refund. I asked them which company they represent and they said My Shopify after that I confronted them about the Anydesk app and they just said its for accessing purpose and disconnected the call.
