Subject: Misleading Product Listing, Refund Without Consent & Wrongful Warranty Cancellation – Lifelong LLIC103
Complaint Details:
I purchased Lifelong LLIC103 Induction Cooktop based on the product listing, which clearly mentioned that a vacuum cleaner would be included in the box. However, the vacuum cleaner was not delivered. Later, I was informed that it was mistakenly mentioned, which indicates incorrect information provided by the company.
Further, without my request or consent, the company processed a full refund of ₹2205. At no point—via call, email, or message—was I informed that accepting this refund would result in cancellation of my product warranty. If I had been informed, I would not have accepted the refund.
Despite this, the company has marked my warranty as cancelled/claimed, which is completely unfair.
Additionally, during my conversation with customer care, I was informed that my warranty would remain valid. However, later the company denied this and closed the warranty.
This clearly amounts to misleading advertisement, deficiency in service, and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Resolution Required:
Restore my 1-year warranty as valid (not cancelled/claimed),
If the issue is not resolved, I will proceed with further legal action.
