Subject: Complaint Against Lifestyle Mall for Unlawful Paper Bag Charge

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Lifestyle Mall, located at (GVFH+938, CTS No 8, 9, Bund Garden Rd, opposite Poona Club, Sangamvadi, Pune, Maharashtra 411001) for a violation of consumer rights and a breach of applicable laws. On 28 Oct 2023, I made a purchase at the aforementioned mall and was charged Rs 18 for a paper bag, which is prohibited by the law governing consumer protection and retail practices.

I have attached a copy of the bill Invoice No. - [protected] as evidence, clearly showing the additional charge of Rs 18 for the paper bag. This charge is in direct contravention of the legal provisions that safeguard consumers from unjustified and excessive fees. It is my firm belief that this practice by Lifestyle Mall is not only illegal but also a breach of consumer trust and fairness.

I kindly request your assistance in investigating this matter and taking appropriate action against Lifestyle Mall in accordance with the relevant consumer protection regulations. The mall’s action not only affects my rights as a consumer but may also be impacting countless other customers who may not be aware of their rights.
