My wife Ms Shyamala Srinivas Approached LIVESPACE an interior Design Company at Hyderabad for interior designing and wooden work for entire flat in Hyderabad such as Wooden wardrobes, modular kitchen, drawing room TV Cabinet, Wooden Jhoola (Swing) etc on 10th Aug’23. Amount paid to Livespace for the job on 10th Aug’23 ₹ 40, 000/- (₹ 25, 000 & ₹ 15, 000) towards Advance to be adjusted in the bill for interior work for our newly constructed flat. They have agreed to visit the site, take measurements and give the quote. Once quote is finalized they agreed to complete the job in 90 days as they are manufactured at their factory and they will assemble and fit in our flat.

On repeated calls they failed to visit the site and take measurements and give the quote. On 14th September when we had to raise our voice for the delay of over a month they have deputed a person to visit their site and gave their first basic quote on 23rd September upon speaking to their Manager Ms Chavi Jain. Balance items which needs to be customized suggested to get it done elsewhere. Upon request their tentative quote for the additional job but expressed displeasure on these customization jobs and denied any discounts which was applicable to the basic job. Later when we approached elsewhere the budget was shooting very high getting done from two different sources. We were seeking more clarifications in between and again there was a delay from their end and then received an apology message saying that they were busy due to month-end activities and later hospitalization of the Manager.
As the job being done at two different sources amount going high and the delay pattern of Livespace and the timeline of completion of task of 90 days we have decided to opt out and got it done from different service provider, seeking refund from Livespace.
On the request to refund they had been seeking time to revert and online complaints lodged but no response from them and automated messages we got that compliant is closed without initiating the refund. Again, we lodged a complaint as conveyed that we would be lodging a complaint in Consumer court they have given couple of numbers and asked them to speak. We spoke to one the persons Mr Samanth (+91 [protected]) requested for refund and also gave an option to take some products in lieu of advance paid ₹ 40, 000/-. He conveyed that he would speak to his higher ups and revert. Later in the evening he called back and asked us to pay additional ₹ 60, 000/- and take some products for ₹ 1, 00, 000/- which we denied. They claimed that we have to cancel the order within 48 Hours after booking. When the site visit happened after a month and got quote after 2 months how can we cancel the order within 48 Hours. When going with a single source is economical why should we go with two different service providers? The other service provider can complete the job within a month why should I go for part job in 90 days? They claim that is their minimum time to complete a job. After seeing the delay in site visit and final quotes we are not convinced to go with Livespace. Getting the job done with a single service provider is more economical that going for two service providers why should we continue with Livespace. That is the reason we opted out Livespace.

• Their Basic quote covers standard wardrobes, modular kitchen stuff.
• TV Cabinets, Study table, Dressing cabinets etc are treated as Customization and expressing disinterest to do and denying any Discounts.

We want the money paid as advance to returned (refund) back by them what we have paid as advance inspite of abnormal delay, mental agony of calling them and visiting their offices which was situated 40 - 50 Kms away and 3 – 4 visits.
