FACTS OF THE CASE:
The complainant owns a Livpure RO water purifier under an active 3-year warranty plan.
Service requests were registered under the following numbers:

JS-[protected][protected].
During the initial service visit, technician Shahabaz falsely informed that all internal filters were functioning properly and only the external filter required replacement.
Immediately after servicing, the RO unit developed internal leakage and the purified water tasted like untreated tap water.
Upon repeated complaints, another technician inspected the unit and confirmed that critical purification components — Activated Carbon Filter, UV Lamp, and UF Membrane — had been intentionally bypassed.
Due to this unauthorized modification, the complainant and family unknowingly consumed unfiltered water with TDS levels exceeding 1100+, creating a serious health risk.
The technician also behaved in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner, making remarks questioning the complainant’s financial capacity.
Although the purifier was later restored by another technician, the negligence, misconduct, and safety risk caused significant mental harassment and loss of trust.
GROUNDS:
The acts of the Opposite Party amount to Deficiency in Service, Negligence, and Unfair Trade Practice under Sections of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The Opposite Party is vicariously liable for actions of its authorized service personnel.
RELIEFS SOUGHT:
a) Written acknowledgment of negligence and explanation for bypassing safety components.
b) Compensation for mental harassment, inconvenience, and health risk.
c) Direction to Opposite Party to ensure strict quality control and disciplinary action against the technician involved.
d) Any other relief deemed fit in the interest of justice.
The complainant affirms that the matter was first escalated to the company but remains unresolved satisfactorily.
