My nephew Mr. Sahil Kumar has enrolled himself for provisional admission through online mode with Lovely Professional University (LPU) Phagwara Jalandhar, Punjab for his BBA (UG) class in the month of April 2020. The student was appearing the 12th board exam of CBSE at the time of admission, and the admission procedure completion was subject to pass the 12th board of CBSE. the LPU university facilitated the admission and got the student to pay tuition fee and hostel accommodation fee. The student paid Rs. 40000/- towards tuition fee and Rs. 10000/- towards hostel accommodation fee through online fee payment mode. The university told us that the fee would be refunded if the student fails to pass the 12th board exam. The student's 12th board exam could not be passed and he appeared for compartment exam of CBSE whose result published on 10th october 2020, but student could not pass that also. hence not eligible for admission. Now the university is not refunding any amount to student on the pretext of that last date for refund application was 30th september 2020. Since the LPU never told anything about refund policy and asked us to submit the result by 31st oct-2020.and if student does not clear 12th result, they will refund the full fee, but now they are denying. if student's result is published on 10th october, how he/she will claim anything by 30th sept.This is completely unethical practice being adopted by the university. pls do something for our refund Was this information helpful? |
