Mr ranjeet is a financial advisor who deals in intraday stock market trading. He provided some initial advices which led to a loss of over 4 lakhs. He would always put the blame on customer that you did not pick the index at right value or you did not exit at the right time if there is a loss. He always has excuses when there is a loss. After some persuasion for loss recovery, he asked me to handover my demat account to him and he would trade on my behalf. This deal happened on 6th april 2020.
The deal goes like this - he would take rs 10, 000 for handling my demat account. On profit of 1.5 lakhs, his commission would be 25 thousand and i should provide an initial principle of rs 60, 000 in the demat account with which he can trade. If, for whatever reason, principle amount becomes zero, he would return me the principle amount back. This all is in written format over email and i have voice call recordings as well. As a result of this, my entire loss because of him is now around 4.7 lakhs (4 lakhs earlier and 70000 in the latter part where he dealt with my account).
As the deal started, all the trades went into losses. He, as usual, again had excuses that his employees did not do the trade in right manner. He did not return the money and i am not able to contact him now as he has stopped responding to calls or messages.
While i understand, blame for the initial loss of 4 lakhs cannot be put entirely on him as its just advice, for the latter part where mr ranjeet dealt with my account, i am interested to look if there are other platforms where complaint can be raised. For ex, with sebi or any other concerned department.
Please peruse and help me with this matter.
