On 28 September 2026, I gave my iPhone 14 Plus to iCare Centre, operated by Maccare Solutions India Private Limited in Bengaluru, solely for a battery replacement. I paid ₹10, 030. The repair document, Ticket No. T-2801, lists only “iPhone 14 Plus Battery Replacement.”
After collecting the phone, I saw a display replacement recorded in its Parts and Service History. I had not requested or authorised a display replacement. The display now appears loose and improperly fitted. I am concerned that my original display was removed, and I request an explanation of what happened to it and what part was fitted.
I chose this centre because it represented itself as an Apple Authorised Service Provider. I could not find iCare Centre in Apple’s service provider listing, so I also request proof of that claimed status.
I issued a legal notice dated 2 October 2026. I request the return of my original display or its value of ₹40, 000, plus ₹50, 000 compensation for the repair issue, financial loss and inconvenience, as stated in that notice.
