This is to bring to your kind attention a serious incident o[censored]nauthorized electricity usage at a property located in Siddhantham Village, Penugonda Mandal.
The electricity meter bearing Service No: [protected] was officially disconnected and removed by your department on 10.07.2025, upon legal request. However, from the night of the same date onwards, it has been observed that the overhead water tank at the property continues to fill daily, strongly indicating that electrical power is still being used.
Upon investigation, it was confirmed that power is being illegally drawn from an adjacent house into the premises. Photographic evidence has been collected clearly showing the tampering of wiring and the unauthorized connection.
This act amounts to electricity theft, which is a punishable offense under the Indian Electricity Act, and must be dealt with sternly. It is a matter of concern not only due to the theft but also due to the potential safety hazards involved.
Being a responsible citizen, I urge the department to take immediate and strict action against the individuals involved and ensure the illegal tapping is permanently stopped.
